Game bug A bug in the game prevent players from winning the Hovercraft and
-------- Fighter simulator missions.

Codes These codes can be activated during interactive gameplay in any
----- ShockWave2 mission. This is directly from EA.

*  To initiate the secret codes hit the PAUSE key on the joypad controller
while using the laser. (IMPORTANT, Laser must be visible on the screen when
pausing). Basically, you press the laser key, quickly release it and then
quickly press the PAUSE key.

*  When in PAUSE, type all the As, Bs, Cs and Es from the following secret
code word: 'THREE BABES IN A CAR'
Only the As, Bs, Cs and Es must be entered, nothing else. Letter A, B and C
are entered by pressing respectively the A, B and C button. The Letter E is
entered by pressing the right shift.

*  When done typing the code, hit the QUIT key (square key).
Instead of quitting, the game will continue and you will have entered the
secret cheat state.

You are now a shockwave2 GOD !!!

Attention
=========
When you just start a mission, you must always enter the "God Code"  before
using any other code. This "God Code" is necessary to have any other codes
working.

Once you're GOD, you can use any of the code below.

To use one of the code below, just pause (no need for laser this time) and
enter all the As, Bs, Cs and Es in the code (no other letters counts).
When you've typed all the As, Bs, Cs and Es you have to press quit. If the
game quit, then you've probably entered an incorrect code.

This last code toggle the bouncing/wrapping mode. So you can use the code
more than once to alternate between the 2 modes. Bouncing mode is the
default, you bounce against the map limit. Wrapping mode just allow you to
quit the map on one side to reenter on the opposite side.

Passwords A Jumpgate code is revealed after each system is completed. These
--------- codes may be manually entered to access a particular system. The
codes consist of six of the fifteen total symbols available. Refer to the
symbols as arranged in three rows (A, B, and C) of six symbols each, except
row C which only contains three symbols:

Bonus Mission: Try Me This mission is accessible from the Jumpgate menu after
--------------------- all regular missions have been completed. Run over the
outhouses along the roadside to refuel and rearm. To complete the mission,
find the large swarm of butterflies and destroy them.

Walkthru
--------

System 1, Planet 1 - Hoelinwaa
There are three objectives in this mission.

If the radar towers at the beginning of mission are not destroyed within 45
seconds, stronger fighters will be encountered.

Objective 1: Seek and destroy the seven outposts in various areas of the map.

Objective 2: Pass through energy fence before it closes again. If the fence
powers up, the fighters at entrance must be destroyed before the fence will
power down again.

Objective 3: Enter the compound and destroy the base to force it to surrender.

System 1, Planet 2 - Sarconia
There are three objectives in this mission.

Objective 1: Deactivate the force field. Note: The transmitter must be loaded in
the ship's configuration (only available after completing Hoelinwaa) before
beginning this mission in order to deactivate force field. The ship must also
fly over them in a certain pattern that can only be obtained after completing
Meskeni. Use pattern three in the video.

Objective 2: Seek and destroy the four guard towers in various areas of the map.


Objective 3: Find the prison and destroy the four gun turrets that protect it .
Objective 2 must be completed prior to this.

Comment: Destroy the power plant, two communication arrays, and industrial
building site to encounter weaker enemy fighters. These actions are not based on
a time limit.

System 1, Planet 3 - Meskeni
There is one objective in this mission.

Survive until the end of the mission without losing the rover.

System 2, Planet 1 - Tesla
There are four objectives in this mission.

Destroy all the fighters encountered before reaching the drop zone. Fewer
fighters will be present in the later portions of the mission.

Objective 1: Clear the drop zone at coordinates 065-014 for the rescue team.
Three missile towers and six fighters must be destroyed.

Objective 2: Get the transponder from the special Refueler that will arrive in
the drop zone after it has been cleared. Fly over the deactivation switch to
enter the compound. Your guns are not powerful enough to attack the fortress
yet.

Objective 3. Get a power-up from the Refueler located at coordinates 034-046.
Return to the fortress and destroy it. Do not use the laser on anything but the
fortress since it is limited to about one second of use.

Objective 4: Destroy all the fighters and hovercraft in the compound while Truk
is being rescued.

Comment: Some of the missile-launching fighters do not approach your ship. The
mission cannot be completed until the remaining fortress defenders are
destroyed.

System 2, Planet 2 - Khasla
There are three objectives in this mission.

Destroy the Pumper buildings that are providing the shields for the guns
protecting the first teleporter. Use the first teleporter to reach the main
island.

Objective 1: Proceed to the southeast corner of the main island and destroy the
tower and gun installations. This will make all of the guns protecting the three
new teleporters vulnerable to your weapons.

The teleporter on the right side (eastern) leads back to the first island from
the beginning of the mission. The teleporter in the middle (northern) leads to
the third island and the waste disposal tower. The teleporter on the left side
(western) leads to the fourth and final island with the main hive.

Use the teleporter in the middle (northern) to the third island with the waste
disposal tower. Destroy all of the surrounding buildings to make the waste
disposal tower vulnerable to your weapons.

Objective 2: Destroy the waste disposal tower to dramatically decrease the
shields on the final alien hive tower for three minutes.

Teleport back to the main island and take the teleporter on the left side
(western) to the final island. Proceed to the southwestern corner of the map
where the main alien hive is located. It is protected by three gun towers.

Objective 3 : Destroy the main alien hive to successfully complete the mission.
The alien hive can be defeated without destroying the waste disposal tower, but
requires a lot of firepower (fire all weapons, refuel, and fire all weapons
again).

Comment: Do not approach the edge of the gully areas or brown ground. Stay over
the green ground to avoid gravity mines.

System 3, Planet 1 - Ockkalish
There is one objective in this mission.

Survive until the end of the mission without losing the excavator.

System 3, Planet 2 - Ak-Quwa
There are two objectives in this mission.

One of the main challenges in this mission is navigating through the maze
without falling in the lava. The first blocker is turned off by destroying the
energy spheres located on either side of the path. There are several gates that
must be powered down by traveling through two objects on the path prior to the
gate. The power downs of the gates are timed, so move at full throttle. As the
area containing the Nom Shar piece is entered, several spheres will be
encountered. They will chase your ship and cause damage. To avoid wasting
ammunition, hide behind the pillars on the right side of the path and destroy
any remaining spheres.

Objective 1: Destroy the sphere within the force field. Your ship must pass
through the gates located on either side of the compound. The two gates are set
randomly. If the correct gate is not picked on the first attempt, both gates
need to be entered.

Objective 2: Collect the Nom Shar piece.

Comment: Configure your ship with the Shot Disrupter before starting the
mission. This will temporarily disable the shots of the indestructible pair of
towers in this mission. Do not blow-up the Nom Shar piece when the guardian boss
is destroyed.

System 3, Planet 3 - Noabae
There are five objectives in this mission.

The jamming stations may be destroyed in any particular order. Use the compass
to keep track of which sectors have already been searched.

Objective 1: Seek and destroy the north jamming station.

Objective 2: Seek and destroy south jamming station.

Objective 3: Seek and destroy east jamming station.

Objective 4: Seek and destroy west jamming station.

Objective 5: Collect the Nom Shar piece that was located in one of the stations.


Comment: There are five areas in this mission. The central area (with the
aliens, buildings, and rocks) is where the mission begins. There are four
separate areas radiating out from the central one. All of the outside areas are
separated by mountains. Your ship can only move from one to the other by
returning to the central area and finding the next low mountain range. Find the
jamming station immediately upon entering one of the outside areas and destroy
it. Listen to what ICE says after a radar station is destroyed. If ICE states
"the artifact is not in this sector", return to the central area and try another
section. If ICE says "the artifact is not in that building" after destroying a
radar station, the artifact is in that area. Explore the area and destroy
buildings until ICE states that the artifact has been found. Then, turn the ship
around and fly back over the Nom Shar piece.

There is a Refueler in each of the four outlying areas. Use them before
returning to the middle area. Unfortunately, almost all of the Refuelers are on
hillsides and are difficult to access.

System 4, Planet 1 - Roswell
There are four objectives in this mission.

Objective 1: When starting the mission, the four structures jamming the Big
Tuna's transmission must be destroyed.

The lone standing teleporter is not functioning at this point. Find the two
teleporters that are located next to each other and use the one on the right
side. It will transport your ship to the Pericata power station, which resembles
a satellite.

Objective 2: Destroy the power station. There is a teleporter in the same corner
of the map. It will transport your ship to the Pericata force field center,
which is a structure with three points.

Objective 3: Destroy the force field center. Return to the two teleporters and
use the one on the left side. Your ship will be transported near a square silver
building. Destroy the building to encounter fewer fighters when defending Big
Tuna. Teleport back and use the lone teleporter that was not working previously.


Objective 4: Defend Big Tuna's run to the Pericata command center. The mission
will be completed when the command center is destroyed by Big Tuna.

System 5, Planet 1 - Onari
There is one objective in this mission.

Survive until the end of the mission without losing the rover.
  ________________________________________________________________

System 5, Planet 2 - Weneri
There are five objectives in this mission.

When starting the mission, try to move eastward when the terrain allows. The
fortresses can only be destroyed by missiles and special weapons.

Objective 1: Destroy the first fortress.

Objective 2: Destroy the second fortress.

Objective 3: Destroy the third fortress.

Objective 4: Destroy all brain posts located at the final destination.

Objective 5: Destroy the brain.

System 6, Planet 1 - Boleni
There is one objective in this mission.

Survive until the end of the mission without losing the rover.

Comment: To complete the mission all of the incoming aliens, including the
mother ships, must be destroyed. If the mission does not end immediately, aim
upwards and destroy any large flying aliens. They appear as white dots on the
radar display.

System 6, Planet 2 - Drimmun
There are six objectives in this mission.

The hills on this planet are covered with radioactive material that will damage
your ship. Turn into the first canyon on the left.

Objective 1: Clear the valley, which will create a distraction that will allow
Jenkins to be rescued. Continue to the next valley.

Objective 2: Protect the Sensci jammer tower by destroying all attacking
Bruntshen. To continue, the three repulsers at the entrance to the next valley
must be destroyed. The repulsers will regenerate quickly. Blast them and move
past at full throttle.

In the next valley there is a star shaped blocker with strong shields that must
be destroyed. There are also six gun towers. Destroying them allows access to a
Refueler.

Move northeast towards the teleporter. Two towers supplying energy to the
teleporter's defensive guns must be destroyed. Use the teleporter to the west of
the towers. Your ship will be transported to three more teleporters that are
activated by flying over a switch located in the middle of this area. Once the
switch has been flown over, one teleporter will be activated; flying over the
switch again will deactivate the active teleporter and activate another. The
teleporter to the far right side will transport your ship to the northeast
energy transmitter. It is surrounded by repulsers that cannot be destroyed.

Objective 3: Destroy the northeast energy transmitter while defending your ship
from enemy fighters.

Move to the right side of the repulsers and use the teleporter. This will return
your ship to the group of three teleporters. Fly over the switch until the
teleporter on the far left is activated. Use this teleporter to transport your
ship to the south east energy transmitter.

Objective 4: Destroy the southeast energy transmitter.

Use the teleporter to transport your ship back to the group of three
teleporters. Fly over the switch until the middle teleporter is activated. Use
this teleporter to return to the first teleporter that was encountered in the
mission. After arriving, immediately turn 180 degrees. This will place your ship
in the direction of the Jumpgate control center (east).

Objective 5: Destroy the Jumpgate control center.
