0. What's New in Denpa Men 2?

  • Colours:
    • Dark Blue: Edited from Denpa Men 1: is now weak to Electric, instead of Earth.
    • White: Edited from Denpa Men 1: is now weak to Light (-2), still resists Dark (+2).
    • Yellow: Resists Electric (+2), Weak to Earth (-2)
    • Purple: Greatly resists Light and Dark (+3 each), mildly weak to all other element types (-1 to Ice, Fire, Water, Electric, Earth, and Wind)
    • Silver: Resists Fire, Ice, and Water (+2 each), super-weak to Electric (-4), and weak to Dark (-2); also doubles Denpa's base Defense stat (i.e.: if a Denpa would have had 331 Defense normally, it would have 662 Defense if painted Silver).
    • Gold: Mildly resists all but Fire (+1 to all non-Fire), weak to Fire (-2); also gives the effect "Gold x1.2".
    • Pink: Weak to all elements (-2 to all); also gives the effect "Charm".
  • Skills:
    • Several antenna skills that didn't have root skills in Denpa Men 1 now do; for instance, Always Treasure now has a Rank 1 and 2 skill called "Gimme Gimme".
      • Always Treasure now requires FULL AP to be used, not just some AP like in Denpa Men 1.
    • New elemental Attack Skills added: Electric and Dark.
    • New "Area of Effect" Attack Skills included; these attack skills strike the targeted enemy and any enemy that is in the immediate vicinity (i.e., one to the left and right of the original target).
    • New status ailment debuffs added: Soaked, Shocked, Muddy, Sniffles, and Cursed/Instant Death; Attack skills can also apply new ailment debuffs that correspond to their element type (i.e., Water can inflict Soaked, Electric can inflict Shocked, Earth can inflict Muddy, Wind can inflict Sniffles, Light can inflict Blind, and Dark can inflict Cursed/Instant Death).
    • New Cure Skills added to cure the new ailments added.
    • Elemental ailments now cause those afflicted with the ailments to receive double damage when struck with the corresponding element to their status ailment: Burned doubles Fire damage, Soaked doubles Water, Shocked doubles Electric, Muddy doubles Earth, Sniffles doubles Wind, and Frozen doubles Ice.
  • Other:
    • New equip types included: Head, Arms, Back, and Feet. "Accessory" equip type no longer applies. Clothes are still in this game.
    • Maximum levels for Elemental and Ailment resistance is now "+9" for both types, compared to Denpa Men 1's max elemental resistance of +4 and ailment resistance of +5.
    • Different rarities of item drops from enemies: Treasure (common items; generally obtained every other battle fought), Rare drops (as the name implies, they are rare; chances between 0.5% to 1% of obtaining WITH maximum multiplier of x10), and Ultra Rare item drops (very rare item drops; chances between 0.1% to 0.5% of obtaining WITH maximum multiplier of x50).
    • Equips can increase your rate of item drop acquisitions. Equips can have multipliers to various battle parameters and affect the chances of your team obtaining items after battle. These are the MAXIMUM limits to what your battle multipliers can reach:
      • Gold acquired after battle: x20 (stacks multiplicatively)
      • Treasure (common drops): x5 (stacks multiplicatively)
      • Rare item drops: x10 (stacks multiplicatively)
      • Ultra Rare item drops: x50 (stacks multiplicatively)
      • Run Away rate: +100% (stacks additively)
