In the dream world, you'll find a dream rabbit carrying along a Nightmare Chunk. Annoying like that Polterpup in Dark Moon, he'll bounce off. Head after him and, in the next area, you'll see him bounce off again. Continue to the right after the scene and use the Save Block. Then hit the A Block for an Attack Piece and continue into the next area.

Defeat the Dreamcap in the next area and head far to the right. Get the Attack Piece, then possess the tornado in the background and make Luigi sneeze to bring some ? Blocks forward: one with 10 Coins and another with 5 Coins. Continue left and hit the ? Block for a Coin, then use Luigi to bring the next one forward for a Nut. Head right to the next area.

Climb up the ledges to the right and get on the orangish platform. Make Luigi sneeze there so you can reach another Attack Piece. Not much further along, you can bring some more ? Blocks forward for 10 Coins and 5 Coins. Go right and into the next area for another Attack Piece, then stand on the orange platform and make Luigi sneeze so you can reach another ledge. Continue right into the next area.

There, continue to the right and climb up the ledges to find a dream rabbit and the block guy, then go right and into the next area. Beat the Dreamcap Captain nearby, then the one further to the right. Continue into the next area to find Brickle and the bunny. Continue to the right and nito another area to find another Attack Piece, then head down the pipe.

In this area, go to the right and grab the next Attack Piece, then go to ground level and head to the right. Have Luigi possess the tornado in the background, then stand on the orange pipe nearby. Sneeze to turn it around, then head to the right to find some Propellion to battle. Head to the right and ascend the ledges, beating the Dreamcap Captain at the top. Get the Coin from the ? Block further along, then get the Attack Piece. Continue up and head left to battle another Propellion. Go back onto the bottom green ledge to the right and make Luigi sneeze there to connect the pipes. Then head left and through the next pipe.

Use the Save Block nearby and head to the right and into another. Continue to the right there and, after the scene with Brickle, head to the right and have Luigi possess the tree. (Note the Candy in the ? Block further to the right.) Now slingshot Mario back to the left by pulling around Luigi's 'stache. Repeat this with Brickle and you'll get an Attack Piece. After the scene, head left and into the next area.

Get the clearly-visible Attack Piece to the left, then climb up the stair-shaped blocks (or would it be block-shaped stairs?) nearby. Hit the ! block at the top and possess the tornado in the background, and make Luigi blow mucus all over Starlow or something to turn the stairs 'cuz, you know, that's normal. Hit the nearby ? Block for a Coin, then continue right and into the next area.

There, Brickle will give you another Attack Piece, which should make 10, giving you a new Luiginary Attack: Luiginary Ball. You'll get to test it out now - for this attack, you must turn the 3DS left and right like a steering wheel, like if you were using the gyro controls in Mario Kart 7. In doing so, you will move the ball left or right - you want to roll over as many Luigis as possible, but be careful: it's sensitive. At the end, you have to press the A Button to kick the ball into the enemy horde. Assuming you did good enough with the initial strike, just jump/hammer the remaining enemies rather than waste BP.

After that battle, head far to the right to find a Super Mushroom in the ? Block, then have Luigi possess the tornado in the background. Head back to the left and sneeze on the wind vane feather thingies to get the water flowing (and the pipes pulsing rather worryingly). Go back to the area with all the pipes and, there, use the Luigi tornado to sneeze on the orange pipe to the right. Sneeze on the next on to the left, get on it, and sneeze again to reach a Syrup Jar, then go down below and sneeze on that pipe to complete the line.

Sidetrack several areas to the west to find a tree you can use to reach the flowers above, then the clouds. Head to the right there and hit the ! Block further along. Possess the tornado in the background and sneeze on the propeller nearby while atop the staircase on the grass. Hit the ! Block atop the next staircase and immediately sneeze on it. Hit the ! Block again and sneeze on the staircase when Mario is on the ledge to the left to reach a ? Block with a Supersyrup Jar inside. Continue left to the next area.

Head left and battle some Dreamcap Captains. You can get 50 Coins from an M Block further left, then climb up the rainbows nearby to battle a Propellion. Continue up the rainbow road (heh) to find a Candy in a L Block at the end, then go left to the next area. Battle the Dreamcap Captain and Propellion near there, then continue left to another of the latter. Further left will be a Nut, then there's the next area.

There, the rabbit will run off, leaving you the only Nightmare Chunk of this portion of the dream world. Head down into the gap Brickle makes and bop the Chunk a few times to release the elder. There, the elder will call the bunny to him and drill down into the ground below.

You can enter that area if you want. For now, we'll sidetrack and use the other trees we made appear earlier to get some treasure. Head east a fair few areas until you reach the second area where it is raining and, there, possess the tree and slingshot Mario up and to the left. Grab the 50 Coins and continue into the next area. In that area, possess the tornado, get on the stairs, sneeze, and continue left another area. Beat the Propellion there and hit the blocks for 10 Coins and Coin Bro Gloves.

Go back east an area and use the tornado to turn the stairs again. Get on their apex and have Luigi sneeze again to reach a ? Block with 50 Coins, then sneeze again and head right an area. Beat the Propellion there, then drop down along the chain of Coins. That'll be it for now - backtrack to that light the elder Pi'illo made appear. Go towards the darklight...

Dream's Deep

TREASURES CHECKLIST
[_] Bare Hammer

As we arrive in the dark depths of dreams (or something), we find that Mario is alone - Dreamy Luigi is gone. Oh, wait, there he is! Well, anyways, head to the right and up the ledges and left, then up some more and right into the next area.

After the brief intermission there, go up and left to the bottom of this area (don't ask) and start grabbing Coins and, from the final ones you see, go right to the next area. There, head to the right for a bit and you'll notice a light. I suppose you can use it to go outside to restock or whatnot; otherwise, just use the darker light to the right of it.

As you fall, you can grab about 25 Coins. You'll also find Dreamy Luigi at the bottom. You also will find a light to use, so use it. Hit the Save Block on the other side, then head to the right to encounter Antasma and Peach. And why not add Bowser to the group?

BOSS - Bowser & Antasma
  • Maximum HP: 233 HP
  • EXP. Earned: 300 EXP.
  • Coins Earned: 150 Coins
  • Item Drops: Iron-Ball Hammer
  • Attacks:
    • Flame Wave - Use Circle Pad to move around and A to jump over fireballs/flamethrower
    • Bat Rush - Hammer the ones coming from above
    • Dark Rush - Use Circle Pad to change direction and use A to do a hammer counter. Note that he will jump over you initially if his mouth is closed before hitting you; if open, he'll go for you immediately. Don't bother trying to one-two him; you don't have enough time.
    • 3D Spike Roll - You need to use the Circle Pad to move and A to jump over only red fireballs; purple ones are too tall

Oh, that can't be good... For the most part, you'll probably want to avoid using Luiginary Attacks - I actually found my jump doing about 35% more damage here. Early on, you will only face Bowser, but you do encounter some cannon-fodder Antasma bats partway through that you should take out with a Luiginary Attack. They usually won't attack, but they can end up absorbing some of the blows from the extra Luigis when jumping, which is not quite ideal.

It will mostly come down to you using a bunch of Luiginary Attacks in the end, to be honest, because those bats keep a-comin'. You'll want to stick it out, although there's no real point in restoring just BP for this battle unless it's also HP through a Candy/Super Candy.

After the fight, Bowser leaves with Antasma while the Elder Pi'illo and his bunny come down from above.

Back in the real world, the return of Antasma is discussed. Since he'll probably go for the Dream Stone this time, the group decides to head to the Dozing Sands to protect it. Before you end up parting ways with the Elder, he'll hand over a Bare Hammer for saving 5 Pi'illos. Anywho, go south an area.

As you arrive in the entrance area, feel free to use the Save Block, then shop at the Dozing Sands Shell Hutch. There, you might want to invest in a single Steady Hammer for whoever doesn't have the Iron Ball Hammer and some Singular Wear, and probably some Super 'Shrooms/Nuts as well. Head east from there and use the Arrow Block for 50 Coins, then head east into the next area.

Go north upon entering to find an Attack Piece, then east for 5 Coins. South of there, you should be able to find a Shock Bomb in an L Block, plus a number of enemies digging through sand all over the area. (Why is it that every second area in Mario games is a desert? Super Mario Bros. 3, New Super Mario Bros., and Paper Mario: Star to name a few.) Anyhow, go east an area.

As you enter, you'll find a Badge shop! He offers you a pair of Badges for 1,000 Coins -- then 500 - then 200 -- then 100 -- then 80 -- then 50 -- then 30 -- then 10 -- then 5 -- then ONE! Then they're free. Ah, Mario, thou art such a cheapskate. Anyways, you get the Guard Badge and Bronze Badge both for free. ^_^ This Dozing Sands Badge Shop has others you can look at, too. Anyways, when you're done, go south and get 5 Coins from the ? Block, then go north to find 10 Coins in another. Head east to find 5 Coins, then go far south to the next area.

After the scene, head south and west to see a sort of desert-style Whack-a-Mole. Continue west and northeast to the group to fight some Sandoons. In return for helping the two, you'll learn about the Mole Mario technique - have Luigi hit Mario with the hammer to send him underground. This can get you under low archways and let you dig up stat-boosting Beans at "X" marks! If you do it on a hard surface (stone, metal, etc.), you just smash Mario and make him small and able to go through small holes - this is the Mini Mario technique.

Go west and use Mini Mario to go through the small arch and go east for 10 Coins. Return to Luigi and use Mole Mario to go beneath the gate. Hammer the Pi'illo on the plant to the right, then go northwest to the 10 Coin ? Block. Return to Luigi via the sandslide to the south and then to the diggers, who mention the "X" marks holding the beans, which you can harvest by popping up under as Mole Mario. This one yields a Heart Bean. After, enter the dream world via the Pi'illo you knocked down.

Within the dream world, head left and bop the ? Block for 5 Coins. Then battle the Dreamy Sandoon further left, then get rid of the one above it, too. Get the Syrup Jar from the M Block near there and go left into the next area. (Wonder where the Sandman is? =P) In that area, ascend the ledges to the left and bop the blue switch to find a bunch of enemies swarming around. You'll automatically climb up the ledges above. Continue up them and go left to the next area.

Continue further to the left and you'll be able to use a new Luiginary Work: the Luigi-faced constellation. It does ... nothing - nothing but clone the crap out of Luigi (and makes the real one go manic). Anyways, these are Luiginoids - and here, they've formed a tower you can climb and ride and jump with - just head right and grab some Coins as you go. At the end, hit the red switch above and go into the hole - you'll encounter some enemies at the bottom, but no worries there. Continue left after you get rid of the Luiginoids and into the next area ya go.

Use the constellation in the background to get some 'Noids and hit the big red switch. Head up the ledges to the left, then go up those to the right so a red switch is across the gap. Carefully inch your way to its right edge to activate the switch by leaning the Luiginoid tower, then go left when done. Repeat this over there, then head into the hole near the former switch and head left. Get rid of the 'Noids and release the Pi'illo from its prison if you don't mind.

You'll receive some Dozite back in the real world, which will help you to bypass the sand flows. Head east near the sand flow, but go west and use Mini Mario to go through the small arch to reach a Super Nut. Reunite with Luigi and approach the sand flow; you can use Mole Mario on the X to the south for a Defense Bean. Head now to the southeast corner and use Mole Mario to get the Attack Piece and Supersyrup Jar past the grate. Reunite with Luigi and cross the sand flow, then get the 50 Coins to the northeast. Head east to the next area.

Here, head east and along to Britta - to be honest, I thought she'd be a dude. >_>; Anyhow, use the Save Block further east, then go south an area - get the 5 Coins from the ? Block on the way! There, go south and east to find a metal platform. Get on it and jump onto the northeastern ledge to reach a 1-Up Mushroom and an Attack Piece. South of there, you can dig up a Speed Bean, and, further west, a Bros. Bean. Finally, there is a Refreshing Herb in an M Block north of there, and a Heart Bean along the southeast edge. Once done, step on the metal platform in the center of the area. You'll get a pretty basic tutorial on how to use it - use it to shatter the rock to the south and head along to the next area once you disembark.

Pay attention to what Britta tells you as you get the tour. You will have to break some rocks soon enough similar to before - six in all. At the end, you will end up entering the dream world while Starlow mouths off to Britta. XD

In the dream world, go left and down the ledges, then to the right to find another Work. This is a drill activated by Luigi's nose (it's better than the alternative). This time, rather than making Luigi sneeze, you need to effectively draw circles around his nose. (That's gotta hurt - how does he stay asleep!?) If Mario grabs on, you can get him to the other side of stuff. Repeat this with the next drill to the right and continue into the next area.

There, possess the drill again (all in the area are possessed, FYI) and cross the next one to the right, then bypass the next so you can cross leftward. Hit the ? Block up there for 50 Coins, then cross more to the left for more Coins. Cross back and head right and into the next area. Defeat the Dreamy Sandoon there, then the next one further right. Head up the ledges and get the Nut to the right, then go left for another Dreamy Sandoon. Continue into the next area.

Possess the drills here and, as you hit the second one, finally will centrifugal force be mentioned! Basically, jump off while spinning for a distance boost. (This can be hard if you are right-handed because that's your A Button hand and stylus hand. Get used to using your left hand for this if you happen to be like me. X_X) Here, you need to end up leaping as you are in the front of the drill when spinning clockwise, or the back if going counterclockwise. Repeat and continue into the next area. Repeat again in the next area and you can go ahead and smash the Nightmare Chunk with your hammer.

Back outside, you'll get one of four pieces of Dozite you need. Anyhow, dig up the Stache Bean nearby, then ascend the northern ledges and head east for a Shock Bomb. Head along the southern path and smash the ? Block for 10 Coins. Head west of there and use Mini Mario to go through the hole.

In the next area to the west, hit ground level and go south to find 10 Coins in a ? Block, plus an Attack Piece in an alcove further south. Head to the northwest corner to find a 50 Coin ? Block. Now, return to the start and cross the ledges so you can reach another Attack Piece. Hit the ground to the south of there and you can get a Shock Bomb and Boo Biscuit from the ? Blocks, then hit the rock to the northwest of the latter to get out. Recross the ledges and head along that high path into the previous area. Get the Ultra Candy there and reunite with Luigi.

Head south an area, but you may want to use the Drill-thingie - for every rock you smash, you get 20 Coins, and two are still here! Drop off in the next area (two more rocks smashed, of course) and ascend the western ledges for another Attack Piece. Get on the ledge further south and you can get a Candy from a ? Block. Head east and use Mini Mario to go through the small hole nearby to get 5 Coins, then an Attack Piece further north. Reunite with Luigi and go east to find a Pi'illo. Use 'im to enter the dream world.

In the dream world, go to the right and slingshot Mario up into the lower-right Nightmare Chunk and smash it. Go up above and smash that one and head left. Get the Candy from the block and smash another Chunk to release the Pi'illo. Back in reality, ride the Drill-thingie and smash two more rocks to find another Pi'illo. Turn the cart around, stop the thing, and return to the Pi'illo. Get the 10 Coins from the ? Block to the left, then go into the dream world.

Once again in the dream world, head left and onto the ledge, then to the top of the stairs. Stand in the alcove and make Luigi sneeze to flip the stairs in a more favorable fashion. At the top, make him sneeze again (sand in your nose, Luigi?) to spin the nearby staircase, then climb and use one of the ! Blocks to change its axis. Get on the stone platform to the left and sneeze again. Jump from the second set of stairs onto the ledge to the left for 50 Coins and a Candy, then use the stairs to break a Nightmare Chunk.

Back in the real word, you'll get another Dozite - that makes two! Anyways, ride the Drill-thingie into the next area to the west. Once you stop, get the Refreshing Herb to the west and head south, past the ledges, for a 10 Coin ? Block. Ascend said ledges and enter the dream world via the Pi'illo.

Within the dream world, go to the left. Ascend the ledges and have Luigi possess the twister in the background, then make him sneeze. (Luigi, not the twister. Well, maybe the twister. Whatever.) Now jump onto the ledge to the right and you can bop a Nightmare Chunk into smaller ones. Go left and down the ledges, then beat the Dreamy Sandoon. Head further right and make Luigi sneeze, then go left and get on the bridge. Break the Nightmare Chunk nearby, then make Luigi sneeze when you are on the fifth block, four away from the pole, to get some Coins. Sneeze again, then get to the end, and sneeze some more to be able to reach the Nightmare Chunk and release another Pi'illo.

Back in the real world, head southeast to grab an Attack Piece, then head along the northern of the eastbound paths. You'll eventually find a ledge with an M Block and a ? Block yielding a Syrup Jar and 5 Coins, respectively. Get on the Drill-thingie and destroy one rock as you go north to the next area. Destroy two more as you enter.

Then get off the cart and ascend onto the northwestern ledges. Get the 5 Coins and Attack Piece there. Get onto the ledges further to the east and run along them for a while to eventually dig up a Heart Bean, then a Speed Bean, then a Power Bean. Hit ground level here and go south to find 50 Coins in a ? Block. That's about it here. Ride along the Drill-thingie to get rid of two more rocks, then head back to the southwestern part of the work site with it. There, you can use Mole Mario to get under the blue arrow panel and flip it. Do so and continue riding.

There, break a rock as you continue chugging along. Stop the thing when you can and hit the ? Block for a Steady Hammer. Then use Mole Mario to flip the nearby red panel and get back on the cart. You'll soon arrive in a new area. There, break one rock as you go along, then stop the cart. Head east and hit the L Block for a Super Nut, then go north for 5 Coins and an Attack Piece - that one should be your tenth, giving you the Fire Flower Bros. Attack for Luigi. Continue east in the field to find a Speed Bean north of the tracks, then go back west. You can get 10 Coins from a southwestern ? Block. That's about it - ride north to the next area with the cart. Be sure to destroy the two rocks on the way.

In the next area, stop and save to the southeast. Head east of there to dig up a Bros. Bean, east to find a Refreshing Herb, north to dig up a Stache Bean, north for a 1-Up Mushroom, southwest for 10 Coins, northwest for Iron-Ball Boots, northwest for a Stache Bean, south for 10 Coins, and south for a Defense Bean. Phew! Get on the cart again and smash the rocks, then on the second loop around, hit the reverse-direction switch past the fork to go a different way and smash some more. Especially that big one - it reveals a Pi'illo and two X marks yielding a Power Bean and a Bros. Bean. Then enter the dream world...

In the world of the dead (asleep), head east and battle the Skipdrill. Get the Shock Bomb further to the right, then beat up the Dreamy Sandoon and the Nightmare Chunk. Go back left and up the ledges to another Dreamy Sandoon. Head further right and up the ledges to reach a Candy, then go left and bop the Nightmare Chunk. Go left and beat both the Skipdrill and the Nightmare Chunk.

Back in the real world, you'll get another piece of Dozite - just one to go! After the brief announcement from the mole people (or something), ride the cart back to the northeastern work site to find that a drilling beast just ate a Pi'illo - a shiny one at that, which can not be good for us! Approach it with the drilling cart - you may need to flip the blue panel - and drill onto it to get it open the next area to the east. Follow it!

In this area, as you go, break a rock and stop when you can. Dig up the Bros. Bean to the southeast, then ascend the ledges to the north for a Super Candy. If you go west along these ledges, you can also dig up a Defense Bean and hit an Arrow Block for 50 Coins. In the new area, you can get 50 Coins again from an M/L Block northeast of your ride. There is also a Pi'illo to the east of there you can enter the dream world through.

In the dream world, go to the right along ground level to find a Nightmare Chunk. Break it up and do the same with the Dreamy Sandoon further to the left. Then beat the one on the next ledge to the right. Go up two more ledges for 10 Coins and a 1-Up Mushroom, then slay the Skipdrill to the left of there - break up the Nightmare Chunk while you're at it. Continue to the right and beat up the Skipdrill and the next Nightmare Chunk.

Back in the real world, get back on the Drilldigger and ride it north to the next area - break that rock on the way. You'll basically play a little minigame involving the boss - you need to hit it five times with the Drilldigger in about a minute and a half. For winning, it will spit out the pillow. Use the ? Block near it for 5 Coins, then go northeast for 10 Coins. If you go west an area, you can make a shortcut back to the start to save (! Block), get some DEF Mush Jam (north), and dig up a Heart Bean (south). Do so and go back and into the dream world.

Back in the world of dreams and stuff, go right and make Luigi possess the drills. Jump across the first two drills - remember, jump off while spinning! - and you'll soon reach another. This will also move you up and down, so head down by spinning clockwise. Go up the next one by spinning counterclockwise. Continue into the next area and possess some more drills. Drill to the bottom of the first to get some Coins, then jump over to the next and grab some more, then jump again for more, and then just jump off at the bottom - be careful of the debris falling between the two, though!

In the next area, use the moving platform to get the Syrup Jar to the right and to beat up the Skipdrill to the left. Continue left and up the next moving platform for a 50 Coin piece to the right. Hit ground level below said platform to reach a Dreamy Sandoon to battle, with another further left, then a Skipdrill as well. Cross the moving platforms to find two more 50-Coin pieces - one next to the last one, and one in an alcove above the next-to-last one. Then go through the pipe in the bottom-left corner and release the Pi'illo.

Back in the real world, you will be given the final piece of Dozite!

After getting the fourth piece of Dozite, go west an area back to where the Dozite were gathering. Save there and get in front of the sand flow to make some platforms rise. Use them to bypass the flow and get into the next area. There, Britta seems to have met with some trouble. =P Go ahead and battle the horny thing.

... Wait, no, that's not what I me--

BOSS - Torkscrew
  • Maximum HP: 656 HP
  • EXP. Earned: 500 EXP.
  • Coins Earned: 250 Coins
  • Item Drops: Coin Boots
  • Attacks:
    • Mole Drill - About one second after it goes underground fully, jump! After, you may have to have one bro chase after the guy while he drops the captured bro's Coins.
    • Horn Dive - Hammer counter, preferably with both bros simultaneously to be safe
    • Two-Pronged Attack - Some minor enemies will come after one bro while the other is attacked by Torkscrew; keep your eyes on both of them and be sure to jump on the enemies, or at least over

Firstly, don't jump on this as it will end up basically hurting you - you're stuck with Hammering and Bros. Attacking. However, if you properly counter the Horn Dive attack, it will end up on its back, opening it up to Jump attacks. You will also want to avoid the underground Mole Drill attack, as it could lower your Defense and that's no good. If you do manage to get its Horn Dive countered, you can end up jumping on him since he'll be on his back.

Offensively, I'd just go with what Bros. Attacks I was good with and blaze those around a while. Fire Flower is marginally more powerful if you can get an Excellent on it, though. Additionally, note that the boss will go underground completely for a turn - use that time to heal, even if it's just 30 HP with a Mushroom. Hey, ya never know....

After the battle, Britta will be released. When you regain control, first go west an area. To the north there, you'll find a Syrup Jar, plus a Pi'illo to the south. Go ahead and into the dream world and head right to beat up a Dreamy Sandoon, with another further to the right. Get 50 Coins from the M Block above and continue to the right for another Dreamy Sandoon, then continue along to find a Nut in an L Block and the Pi'illo in the Nightmare Chunk.

Back in reality, go east and area and head north some. Head west of the structure to dig up a Stache Bean, then get onto it for some disappointing news. Anyways, we decide to enter the dream world to figure out what to do next.

Within the dream world, head to the right and save with the Save Block, then continue into the next area. Continue to the right and beat up the Skipdrill, then continue along to find an Attack Piece. Beat the Skipdrill above there and continue to the right. Have Luigi become one with the drill and jump onto it, then onto the next one. (Be sure to circle around to grab more and more Coins!) Jump off to the right and go into the next area.

Approach the glowing thing to the right - the Dream Stone's spirit. After little success, go right and into the next area. Possess the drill and climb on up. Jump off to the right to land on the Dreamy Sandoon if you want, or just go straight to the moving platform above it. The lower exit to the right leads to an Attack Piece and a Skipdrill, by the way. Continue up to the next drill and long-jump to the left for another Attack Piece, then jump for another further up. Return to the first moving ledge you used after the first drill and go up and right to the next area.

Get the 5 Coins from the ? Block there and continue further right to find a Dreamy Sandoon. Continue heading to the right to find a Refreshing Herb and a fifth Attack Piece, then go left and beat up the Dreamy Sandoon, then head straight for the one below there.

Continue right to the next area and climb the ledges there to get 5 Coins. Further along is another Luiginary Work that you're probably familiar with - the constellation creating the tower of Luiginoids, but Dreambert will explain it to you if you've forgotten. So basically ram your way to the right for a while (or topple the tower and battle the enemies first). In the next area, go right and into the hole, then head right and up some ledges. One of these is really long and ingrained into the wall to the left. On the ledge below that one, carefully inch to the right to hit the switch. Continue up the ledges to a blue switch. Stand on the ledge that is two below the one parallel to the switch, then inch to the left to topple the Luigis and hit the switch. Continue up and grab the Coins to the right, then get rid of the 'Noids and head left for some Payback Wear. Head back to the left and into the big hole from before, then go left and up and into the pipe.

Battle the Skipdrills to the left for some extra EXP., or use the constellation Work in the background to just smash them with the tower of 'Noids. Head left for a bit either way and you'll need to get the tower for this next bit. After doing so, ascend the ledges at the left, near the blue hump. At the top, inch to the right so that the tower leans onto the red switch. Get rid of the tower and head right along ground level to the start. Get the tower again and stand on the newly-risen red hump, then lean the tower left onto the blue switch. Head left and across the blue hump into the next area.

Here, you may as well get the Coins and immediately return to ground level so you can grab at least a little more EXP. Either way, at the end, the tower will be too tall, so get rid of it and head left into the next area, where the Dream Stone's spirit is.

Head left an area after the conversation and battle the Skipdrill, then go up and right for a Super Mushroom in the L Block. Head further left and grab the Attack Piece past the Skipdrill, then get the one below the platform. Beat the other Skipdrill to the right, then go left, grab the Nut and head into the next area.

Have Luigi possess the drills and jump across to the third of them. There, leap onto one of the nearby moving platforms and go below to find an Attack Piece. Ride the other one back and go up for a bit to another Attack Piece. Then land below the ledge here and go left into the next area.

There, as you go left, Dreambert will mention breaking the sand blocks in the area by ground-pounding (B in midair) with the Luiginoids. Use this move on the sand blocks to the right, then go left and use it on some more (stick to the right side on it). Head right and push along the crates, then break them in the gap. Down here, get rid of the Luiginoid tower and go through the low hall to the left to reach a pipe. Use it and you can jump down to the right for a few Coins. Other than that, go to the far right of the pipe (the bottom entrance you used) into the next area.

Here, head to the right and get the tower of Luiginoids again. Break through the sand blocks beneath the platforms for some Coins, then get rid of 'em. Use the pipe to go back up and, this time, break the sand blocks farther to the right. Then head right into the next area.

Get on the ledge above for a Shock Bomb and an ninth Attack Piece, then head to the right and beat up the Skipdrill. Head to the right and blow away the Dreamy Sandoon. Climb onto the ledge above it and to the right, then head further right to snatch up an Attack Piece - this should be your tenth, teaching you the Luiginary Attack Luiginary Stack! Head left and get a Syrup Jar from the L Block, then beat up the Dreamy Sandoon on the ledge nearby. Hit ground level and go right to the next area.

Climb onto the ledges nearby and get the tower of Luiginoids, then hit ground level and go right. This time, Dreambert will tell you how to use Mario's overweight 98%-pasta body to compress the Luiginoid tower: press the A Button. You can then move the nearby crate out of the way and... wow. If you press the A Button again, you do some kind of super-high Spring Jump. Anyhow, Spring Jump up here and hold Left on the Circle Pad to move a little. Spring Jump again at the left arrow for some Coins. Then Spring Jump at the other arrow while holding Right to get on a ledge. Walk off of it and continue into the next area.

Spring Jump at the arrow nearby, then ground-pound the other one, then compress, go through the narrow hall, and Spring out on the other side. Go straight, though, for a little over 100 Coins, then go to the right on the next jump. Get rid of the Luiginoids and go through the pipe. On the other side, you'll find Dreamy Britta's Shop, so feel free to fully heal and stock up there. One bro should have the Payback Wear and another some Singular Wear, one a Steady Hammer and one a Iron-Ball Hammer, and one a Coin Boots and the other some Iron-Ball Boots. Other stuff is at your disclosure; mostly, it's for items right now.

Go ahead and save here. Head through the west pipe and you can hit a switch on the other side to be able to go back outside, like if you need Badges or something. Otherwise, go west an area. Do so using the mid-air ledges, though, so you can reach a pipe. Use it and then use the constellation Luiginary Work to ground-pound through the sand blocks below. The Dream Stone will submit to your will -- not!

Do two consecutive Spring Jumps to hit that spirit. Ooh, what a feisty li'l fellow! Touch the L emblem on his hat and hold it down to get one of your own!

For this battle, you'll need to rotate the 3DS according to your dominate hand. If you prefer your right hand, hold the bottom half in your left hand with the screen to the left and your stylus in your right hand. If you prefer your left hand, put the 3DS's bottom half in your right hand with the screen to the right and your stylus in your left hand. Tap "START" to begin. (And, yeah, you'll need to turn off the 3D.)

Giant (Boss) Battles are a bit different from the traditional battle form. Obviously. Firstly, HP is not precisely defined short of hacking, so that's why that field above is blank. In these battles, to jump, first select the proper icon. Then let Luigi build up some power by bending his knees and slide upwards - precision is not needed, just a slide upward. The sign of when to do so is the extra flash when Luigi's arms spread - and, of course, you can jump again after landing on the enemy. Jumping on the defense relies on a similar principle, but no need to charge up.

After that turn, a tornado should be remaining in the background of the enemy's field - hammering him should smack him in there. First is the Hammer Chop (horizontal hammer attack), which can send foes into the background. Here, to attack, you charge up the hammer like normal, then slide the stylus to the left if you're right-handed, or right if you're left-handed (I assume). To hammer on the defense, you don't need to charge up, but the principle remains the same.

So, anyways, keep a-going with whatever attack is your strongest - the tutorial should've helped to show you that if you observed the health bars at the bottom of the screen. However, remain aware of whether the enemy has those spiky drills up or not - if they're up, you cannot jump on him!

A few turns later, after you get hit by a ball of electricity, you'll be told about how to heal. Use the Bros. Attack shell icon, then the Rhythm Mushroom icon. The description for this attack is rather lacking. Basically, Mario will throw Mushrooms into Luigi's mouth - tap them as they approach, effectively using the same rhythm. Try using it repeatedly here for some free healing! However, keep in mind Mario can only be used for such attacks every other turn.

That's about it. Keep using your best attacks and healing when needed. I would not suggest that you jump when the enemy surrounds itself in a tornado, though - for all you know, he's spiked at the time - so hammer him.

At the end of the battle, you have to tap the Star icon to use Finishing Bros. This is a rather glitzy attack that is used to finish the battle. In it, you need to use the gyroscope/accelerometer to bring Mario down from the star he's on into the enemy - imagine it like piloting an aircraft with your 3DS, sort of. Tilt it down to go down, up to go up, left to go left, and right to go right - the targeting cursor will appear on the top screen, and you want it on the enemy.

After winning, turn the 3DS back around to its normal position. The Dream Stone's spirit will finally decide to tell you where his physical body is - the volcano north of Pi'illo Castle, Mount Pajamaja!

Once you regain control, go left a few areas and back outside.
