 ______________
/ Introduction \_______________________________________________________________
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After a long, well-needed hiatus, I have returned to writing game guides, so I
thought that I'd look for something to write for Nintendo's 3DS system. Being
one to desire multiple methods to attain the required commitment and motivation
for such guides, I took a look through the FAQ Bounty section to see if there
was anything that I could attempt to claim, and I stumbled upon Combat of
Giants.

Combat of Giants: Dinosaurs 3D is an action/adventure/fighting game where you
choose among a plethora of different dinosaurs to restore peace to the
dinosaur land from the control of the Arkosaurus, a massive dinosaur overlord.

I'll kick this off by saying this statement: This game is ridiculously linear.
You're going to find yourself doing the same thing over and over before you
realize that you've actually made progress. Take this into consideration
before you read and play.

This guide will tell you everything you need to know to beat the game from
start to finish, as well as a variety of extra goodies.

/ Begin Your Adventure \_______________________________________________________
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now that you have an understanding of the controls and their functions, it's
time to embark on your adventure!

      _____________
     / Exploration \__________
     -------------------------

When you are not in combat, you are exploring. Exploring is essentially the
main source of progression in the game. While you are exploring, you will
encounter the following:

Breakables: Breakables are items that can be destroyed by your dinosaur.
These items may reward you with bones - a form of currency used to unlock a
wide variety of bonus content - or hidden items. Any items that are found
while exploring can be equipped at any time by pressing Start, then navigating
to the Equipment section. More info to come on equipment later.

Armadillos: Armadillos are little creatures that roam the lands. When you see
an armadillo, press the y button when they turn blue to scare them away and
drop items.

      ________
     / Combat \__________
     --------------------

Throughout the progression of your game, you will encounter enemy dinosaurs
that you must fight to continue. When your opponent's health reaches zero, you
win the fight by a knockout (KO). This section will detail the combat aspect of
this game.

 Actions

A: Press A to push your opponent. When you push your opponent, little
damage is done, but your opponent will be forced to the edge of the
"ring". Utilize pushes to force a ring-out.
B: Press B to attack your opponent. Your attack strength can be
modified by what your dinosaur has equipped. In addition, you can
acquire a Dino Strike by pressing B when your opponent flashes blue
     X: Not used in Combat.
Y: Press Y to initiate a Dino Strike that you have acquired.
C-Pad: When your opponent flashes red, he is about to make an attack on you.
If you slide the Circle Pad to the left or right as your opponent is
flashing red, you will be able to dodge the incoming attack and
counter-attack as well. This is one of the easiest ways to win a
          fight.

 Dino Strikes

Throughout any given fight, an instance may arise where your opponent
flashes blue. When this happens, press the B button to obtain a Dino
Strike. A Dino Strike is a heavy-damage attack that your opponent cannot
dodge. When you obtain the Dino Strike, immediately press Y to unleash it.
Only one Dino Strike can be acquired at a time, and the strike will expire
if you do not unleash it in a timely fashion.

 Frenzy Assaults

Throughout any given fight, there may be an instance where your opponent
has stars circling over its head. When this occurs, rapidly press B to
release a barrage of attacks that deal significant damage to your
opponent. Be forewarned; frenzy assaults can be dodged!

 Cataclysms

Cataclysms are natural disasters that will occur if a given fight takes an
extended period of time. There are two cataclysms in the game:

Earthquakes: Earthquakes will cause the combat area to reduce in size,
                    allowing ring-outs to occur easier.
Lave Eruption: A lava eruption will force lava into the combat area that
will cause damage to both you and your opponent. If this
happens, you must do your absolute best to end the fight
quickly, or you may risk losing the fight if your health
drops to zero before your opponent's.

      _______
     / Items \__________
     -------------------

As with any adventure game, a wide variety of items are available to collect.
These items can be equipped to your dinosaur to make it more powerful. Only
three items can be equipped at one time on a single dinosaur.

When equipping an item, it can have an effect on one or multiple of the
following:

An item can boost the damage done with every hit delivered.
An item can make your dinosaur take less damage when struck.
An item can increase your maximum health, allowing you to withstand more
    damage before being defeated.
An item can increase the distance gained when pushing an opponent.
An item can decrease the distance lost when an opponent pushes you.
An item can increase the damage of a Dino Strike performed by you.

With that being said, you should determine your overall goal with the dinosaur
you choose (what you want it to be capable of) and choose items that boost the
components listed above.

                ___________
     __________/ Item List \
     -----------------------

A comprehensive item list, along with their effects, will be coming soon in a
new guide version. Keep posted for updates!

      ________________
     / Dinosaur Types \__________
     ----------------------------

Finally, here's a breakdown of the four types of dinosaurs you can select from
in the game:

   Family Attributes
   ------ ----------

Predators Well-rounded stats for good defenses and solid attacks.

Hunters Quick, agile attackers that can deal solid damage at the
                    cost of defenses.

Defenders Defensive dinosaurs that can withstand massive amounts of
damage at the cost of slow speeds and poor attack rates.

Chargers Primarily heavy dinosaurs that are capable of standing
their ground at the cost of dealing significant damage.

 _____________
/ Walkthrough \________________________________________________________________
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now that we have all of the miscellaneous information identified, let's get to
the part that you clicked on this guide to read, eh?

Take note that this guide was composed by starting with the Predator dinosaur
group and working to the right. While it is completely possible to start the
game using any of the four dinosaur types, to ascertain the accuracy of this
guide, follow this guide by starting with Predators.

     ___________
    / Predators \__________
    -----------------------

Pick a dinosaur you would like to start with. The available options are:

  Tyrannosaurus
  Carnotaurus
  Carcharodontosaurus
  Baryonyx
  Ceratosaurus
  Cryolophosaurus
  Suchomimus
  Allosaurus

From there, you will enter the customization phase of the game. This is where
you will be able to change the name, appearance and equipment of your dinosaur.
Name your dino whatever you wish and customize the appearance to your liking,
taking note that more customization options will be available as you progress
through the game. Ignore the Equipment section, as equipment will also become
available in later stages of the game. The Special Outfit option allows for
your dino to have a special appearance at the cost of losing your custom
settins. At this point, the option is locked, so pay it no mind for the time
being.

When you're done customizing your dino, select the Start option. After reading
the "cutscene" text, the game will proceed to displaying your dino, and the
game begins.

                ___________
     __________/ Stage One \
     -----------------------

OBJECTIVE: Roam the lands and defeat Arkosaurus' minions.

Since this game is predominantly linear, there aren't too many secrets to be
found. Move your dino down the trail, smashing through the bones and rocks that
are along the path. Smashing through these breakables will sometimes reward you
with items or bones that can be used to unlock new customization options or fun
facts about the dinosaurs.

Continue down the path and you will encounter your first combat instance.

OPPONENT 1: Triceratops
   Weakness: Attacks

Your first fight is rather simple. Your opponent is weak to attacks, so all you
have to do is attack your opponent until he is defeated. Smash the B button as
fast as you can until your opponent is slain. Upon defeating your opponent, you
will be rewarded with a random item. After the battle, press Start and navigate
to the Equipment menu. At this menu, you will see three empty blocks; these are
your three equipment slots. Select an empty slot and select the item you
acquired to equip it. When you're done equipping the item, resume play.

Continue down the path, smashing through rock piles and bones that may be in
your path; at one point, you'll begin collecting bones. These items are used
for unlocking customization options, special costumes, and dinosaur facts in
the Extras section. A tally of your current number of bones collected can be
found on the touch screen in the upper right corner.

Continue following the path and you'll soon encounter your second fight.

OPPONENT 2: Styracosaurus
   Weakness: Attacks

Same thing as the first fight; your opponent is weak to attacks. In this fight,
you are introduced to the dodge ability, which allows you to dodge incoming
enemy attacks by pressing left or right on the circle pad. When you see your
opponent flash red, that is your indicator that your opponent is about to
attack. To counter this, simply slide the circle pad left or right as your
opponent flashes red, which will allow you to simultaneously dodge the attack
while dealing your own. Pretty easy fight overall. Defeating this opponent will
reward you with another item that you can equip after the fight is over. Equip
the item and continue on.

Following the path around a couple bends, you'll come across a couple of large
rocks that are blocking the path. Simply press A to smash through time. These
rocks will sometimes reward you with items that can be equipped, so make sure
you check your equipment inventory for any items you pick up and equip them as
you see fit. Pass the smashed rock around a couple more bends in the path, and
you'll encounter your third fight in this stage.

OPPONENT 3: Einiosaurus
   Weakness: Attacks

At this point, you should know enough to deal with this opponent. While there
are no reminders about attacking and dodging (unless you get hit), it's still
an easy fight nonetheless. Pay attention to when your opponent attacks and
dodge as necessary to defeat him. As with the other two fights, defeating him
will reward you with a new item that you can equip if you choose.

Resume your progress down the path; you'll soon encounter an armadillo. These
creatures are similar to the breakable items along the path, in the sense that
you will be rewarded with items. HOWEVER! In order to receive an item from
these creatures, you must roar at them when they are colored blue. Wait until
you see the armadillo turn blue, then press Y to roar at them. If successful,
you'll scare the armadillo into dropping an item. Not bad!

Further down the path is a set of large rocks that isn't exactly hindering your
progress, but you should definitely stop for a second to make sure you take the
rock cluster out. Just a short ways past this rock, you'll encounter your final
fight for this stage.

BOSS: Naxocertops
   Weakness: None

Woo-hoo! Your first boss fight of the game! This opponent poses no special
qualities as the other three enemies you fought in this stage, other than the
ridiculous amount of health he has. Use the same tactics as the previous fight
by dodging his attacks and delivering your own. When his health drops to the
black bar, he performs a "power up" where the damage he inflicts on you rises
significantly. As stated before, dodge the attacks he sends your way, and you
should have no problems with him. Defeating the boss will reward you with yet
another item, so equip it as needed.

When you're done with the boss fight, you'll return to the map, where you can
either continue on with your current dinosaur or pick a new one in the Predator
family. There isn't much of a point to pick a new dino in this group right now,
so select the next stage.

                ___________
     __________/ Stage Two \
     -----------------------

OBJECTIVE: Drive away Arkosaurus' minions and free your tribe.

Moving onward, you find yourself in a desert stage. By now, you should have an
understanding of the gameplay, so continue down the map, smashing through the
breakable items as necessary. You'll encounter your first fight right away.

OPPONENT 1: Ankylosaurus
   Weakness: Dodge and Attack

With the second stage of fighting, your enemies are now weak against attacks
you deliver from dodging. This fight is nothing exciting, just do what you've
been doing all along. Wait for your opponent to flash red, then dodge and
attack. Pay attention to the direction of your opponent's attacks and dodge the
opposite way; if your opponent uses a right-side attack, dodge to the left. If
you dodge to the same side your opponent attacks, the dodge will be nullified
and you'll still take damage. Collect the item after the fight, equip as
necessary, and move on.

Enter the cave and smash through the piles of bones along the path; towards the
end of the cave is a pile of rocks you can smash through by pressing A that
will reward you with an item. Exit the cave and continue on. You'll see an
armadillo running around this area, but you won't be able to roar at it and
collect an item until later. Another pile of rocks blocks your path futher down
and will reward you with another item. Just past this area is the same
armadillo from before; roar at him to scare him into dropping yet another item.
Immediately to the left side of where you scare the armadillo is a rock pile
that can be smashed, so make sure to hit it before you continue on. Before
long, you'll encounter your second fight.

OPPONENT 2: Euoplocephalus
   Weakness: Dodge and Attack

This fight is one of the easiest yet. Your opponent's health is surprisingly
low and shouldn't require any effort in depleting. Dodge any attacks he throws
at you and counter-attck, defeat him and collect your reward, then move on.
Continue down your path, where you'll encounter two more armadillos. Scare them
as usual. The second armadillo will lead you in the direction that you must go,
which is into another cave. Enter this cave and prepare for your third fight.

OPPONENT 3: Edmontonia
   Weakness: Dodge and Attack

Same as the first two fights, your opponent is weak to attacks you make after
dodging. The only difference between this fight and the one before it is that
your opponent has a little more health in this fight than the other. Other than
that, there are no differences.

Smash through the rock pile at the end of the cave and follow the island-like
path to the boss of this stage.

BOSS: Cassosaurus
   Weakness: None

At this point, you should have developed an understanding of a pattern. Not
only are all the enemies prior to the bosses in the same dinosaur "class", but
they all have the same weaknesses, to an extent. This boss shouldn't pose too
much of a threat, just dodge the attacks as normal and attack back. Be mindful
of when he powers up, as his hits from that point could be devastating. Defeat
the boss to receive another item and earn a promotion for your dino: your dino
is now a Veteran!

When your dino reaches veteran status, you are able to equip veteran-level
equipment. Any equipment in your inventory that has a blue ring around it
indicates an item that can be equipped by veteran dinos.

                _____________
     __________/ Stage Three \
     -------------------------

OBJECTIVE: Hunt down Arkosaurus' minions and restore peace.

You once again find yourself in a jungle setting for this stage. Move down the
path and smash through the bones and other breakables, round a couple corners,
and get ready for your first fight in the third stage.

OPPONENT 1: Velociraptor
   Weakness: Push

Your first opponent (and all in this stage, rather) has a new weakness. Instead
of dealing damage by attacking and counter-attacking, the best way to win in
these fights is by forcing a ring-out. For this fight, focus on pushing your
opponent by pressing the A button. This will slowly force your opponent to the
edge of the ring. When your opponent falls off the ring, you are declared the
victor. Make sure to dodge any incoming attacks while you push your opponent.
Once defeated, claim your item and continue on.

Move down the path and you'll soon encounter another armadillo. You know what
to do with these by now, so claim your item after they run. Make sure to pay
attention to the bone pile that is immediately to the right after the first
rock cluster and hit it to obtain either bones or an item. Just past this area
is a round-about part of the path: the left side continues the path, whereas
the right side is blocked by a rock cluster. Since both sides are linked to one
another (round-about?), smash through the rocks and continue the path, where
you'll meet up with your second opponent.

OPPONENT 2: Oviraptor
   Weakness: Push

Same thing as before, utilize pushes after dodging to force a ring-out on your
opponent, thus winning the match.

Once back on the path, follow it down, hitting the armadillo that can be found
in this area. You'll come up to a second round-about; go through the rock
cluster like before. At this point, the path will widen, making it easier to
miss breakable things. Keep a close eye out for anything that might be
breakable. Another rock cluster can be bashed a little further down the path,
as well as another armadillo. Follow the path down through the dinosaur bones
(3D for the win?) and around the corner to begin your third fight.

OPPONENT 3: Troodon
   Weakness: Push

Definitely the easiest fight in this stage; simply push your opponent after
dodging his attacks five times, and you'll defeat him.

A couple turns and breakable items is all the stands in the way of the boss
fight for this stage.

BOSS: Gorgoraptor
   Weakness: None

Woo, you're progressing nicely! Third boss in the Predator family, and this
fight is no different than the three previous fights in this stage. Keep in
mind that this opponent throws attacks at you more frequently than the others,
so make sure your dodging abilities are up to par. Don't be intimidated by his
health though; a short six pushes will defeat him.

                ____________
     __________/ Stage Four \
     ------------------------

OBJECTIVE: Roam the land and defeat Arkosaurus' minions.

Three stages down, two to go for the Predator family. There isn't much you
don't already know. Follow the path, smashing through the bones and rocks that
are in your path. Another armadillo and roundabout await you before your first
fight in this stage.

OPPONENT 1: Stegosaurus
   Weakness: Frenzy Assault

Woot! Now we're getting somewhere! These opponents are weak to frenzy assaults,
so the key to winning is (you guessed it!) frenzy assaults. To perform a frenzy
assault, dodge your opponent's incoming attack, and follow-up with mashing the
B button as fast as your thumb will allow. This will unlease a barrage of
rapid-fire attacks that deal massive damage to your opponent. Sadly, this
opponent is nothing more than mince meat after a short three frenzy assaults.

After the fight, follow the path around a curve and across a log spanning over
a massive gorge (LOVE that 3D landscape!) to scare another armadillo into
getting some goodies. Immediately past the armadillo lies a rock cluster to be
smashed. Just beyond this rock cluster (and after a couple bends) lies the
second fight.

OPPONENT 2: Dacentrurus
   Weakness: Frenzy Assault

This fight is no different than the one before it. Utilize your frenzy assault
to deliver maximum damage and put this fight away just as quickly as it
started.

Sadly, there isn't much between you and your third fight. Get the armadillo
that runs around this area, bash through the bones, cross over the river, and
follow the path to your third opponent.

OPPONENT 3: Miragaia
   Weakness: Frenzy Assault

You should be quite adept at deducing how to defeat the opponents in this
stage. You should be able to take this opponent out just as quickly as the
others.

Another armadillo, a couple bone piles and a single rock cluster is all that
stands in between you and the boss for this stage.

BOSS: Hilierosaurus
   Weakness: None

We once again meet with the boss of yet another stage! This opponent can be
defeated best by using frenzy assaults to drop his health. Be mindful of his
attacks after he powers up; it's best to dodge to the left of his horizontal
strike to refrain from taking damage. Otherwise, dispatch this boss as quickly
as the three previous fights. Once defeated, your dino will receive another
promotion to Hero!

As with the promotion to veteran status, hero status allows for hero-level
items to be equipped. Items that have an orange ring around them indicate a
hero-level item.

                ____________
     __________/ Stage Five \
     ------------------------

OBJECTIVE: Drive away Arkosaurus' minions and free your tribe.

Here we go, the final stage in the Predator family! start off your path by
following the cave to the left, roaring at the armadillo that can be found
here. Smash through the bones on the other side of the cave and break through
the rock cluster to obtain bones and items. Just beyond the rock cluster lies
your first fight.

OPPONENT 1: Carnotaurus
   Weakness: Dino Strikes

Your final attacking ability is finally expressed. This maneuver is a little
more difficult to pull off than your other attacks. To perform a dino strike,
wait for your opponent to flash blue. When your opponent flashes blue, quickly
press A or B to acquire the dino strike, then press Y to unleash it. Dino
strikes are devastating attacks that have the potential of dealing widespread
damage to your opponent. For this fight, focus on dodging to the right (your
opponent attacks your left side) when he attacks and use a frenzy assault to
drop damage while you wait for your chance to perform a dino strike. Use a
combination of dino strikes and frenzy assaults to defeat this opponent. If you
can manage to defeat your opponent using a dino strike, you'll se an
alternative animation that shows your victory!

There's a LOT of ground to cover between your current position and your next
fight. Nab the armadillo (or two) that runs around and bash the rock cluster as
you would any other, keeping in mind to scoop up any bones acquired from bone
piles along the way.

OPPONENT 2: Ceratosaurus
   Weakness: Dino Strikes

Nothing should be new to you for this fight. Simply use a combination of dino
strikes and frenzy assaults to defeat this opponent.

Follow the path around the corner and along the cliffside to your third fight.
There isn't much in the way, save for some gorgeous 3D scenery.

OPPONENT 3: Cryolophosaurus (are these dinosaurs looking a little familiar?)
   Weakness: Dino Strikes

Nothing new in this fight, except that this dino has a ridiculous amount of
health. It'll take a considerable amount of time to drop his health; go for a
ring-out if you feel your dino strikes and frenzy assaults aren't doing enough
damage. Claim your reward and move on.

Two bone piles down the path and around the bend lies the last boss in the
Predator family!

BOSS: Albertosaurus
   Weakness: None

Using everything you've learned up to this point, it's time for the final
battle of the Predators! Use your dino strikes and frenzy assaults to drop his
health past his power-up point. When he powers up, pay close attention to his
attack animation sequences, as he now has two different attacks!

If you see your opponent's leg raise, dodge right to avoid damage.
If you see your opponent jump, dodge left to avoid damage.

Continue using your special attacks to defeat this boss and gain your final
promotion to Champion! With that, congratulate yourself on not only obtaining
your first champion-level dino, but completing the Predator family portion of
the game!

Reading the text in the "cutscene", you find that you need three more champions
before you can challenge the Arkosaurus. Therefore, since you've crowned a
champion of the Predators, it's time to crown a champion of the other dino
families. Press B on the map screen to go back a menu and select the next
dinosaur family.

      _________
     / Hunters \__________
     ---------------------

Pick a dinosaur you would like to start with. The available options are:

  Velociraptor
  Oviraptor
  Ornitholestes
  Troodon

From there, you will enter the customization phase of the game. This is where
you will be able to change the name, appearance and equipment of your dinosaur.
Name your dino whatever you wish and customize the appearance to your liking,
taking note that more customization options will be available as you progress
through the game. Unlike the Predator family, you any equipment you acquired in
the previous family to use on your new dino. This gives you an advantage at the
beginning and allows you to continue building up your inventory. As before,
ignore the Special Outfit section, as it remains locked, then proceed to
starting the game (again).

                ___________
     __________/ Stage One \
     -----------------------

Here we go again! Navigate through the path, roaring at the armadillo and
smashing through the bones, and meet up with your first fight with the Hunters.

OPPONENT 1: Triceratops

Utilizing everything you learned from the Predators, you should have an idea as
to what is effective and what is not. There's an added bonus, however: the use
of your champion-level dino! You can press down on the D-pad and swap your
current dino for your champion dino to help take care of your opponent.
However, this only lasts for a limited time; once this time expires, you revert
to your current dino. This opponent should still pose as no major threat,
so use your frenzy attacks to take him out. If for some reason you feel
overwhelmed, it wouldn't hurt to summon in your champ dino to help you out.

Lots of open space fills the gap between you and your next boss. Run through
the bone piles and scare off the armadillo as usual, and keep following the
path until you encounter your second opponent.

OPPONENT 2: Styracosaurus

Nothing different than practically every other fight. Use frenzy assaults to
take him out. There's a chance where you might also be able to dish out normal
attacks to help expedite the process.

For the first time in this stage, you'll encounter your first rock cluster to
take out after you pass a couple twists and turns, so take it out as you
normally would. Right around the corner from the rock cluster lies your third
opponent.

OPPONENT 3: Einiosaurus

I shouldn't need to elaborate on how to beat this opponent. You already know
what to do and how to defeat him. There's nothing special about him.

A mere pile of rubble later, and you'll run into the boss for this stage.

BOSS: Naxocertops

Hmm, I think I'm noticing a trend! This is the same boss that you fought in the
first stage with the Predators. The only difference between that fight and this
fight is your ability to use your frenzies and dino strikes to take him out.
Watch for a second type of attack that he can deliver once he powers up the
second time; dodge to the left to evade it.

                ___________
     __________/ Stage Two \
     -----------------------

Well that first stage went by pretty quick, didn't it? Regardless of the fact
that the hunters move a lot quicker than the predators, the battles from here
on out should be significantly easier, since you pretty much know everything
there is to know about combat in this game.

Moving on to the second stage, equip anything as necessary and move on to a
familiar desert-like scene. Smash through the bones and bash through the rock
cluster; round the corner and come face to face with your first enemy.

OPPONENT 1: Ankylosaurus

Another simple fight to complete. Do be mindful of a few things, however.
First, pay attention to the movement of his tail. If he's about to attack and
keeps his tail low, he's going to swing it to your left side, so make sure to
dodge to the right. Similarly, if he keeps his tail high before attacking,
dodge to the left to evade. Also, there may be a few times where he lifts his
tail and passes gas (Ew, really? Come on dude, my mouth was open and
everything!); he'll flash blue immediately after this sequence, so make sure
to strike him while he's blue and press Y to unlease a dino strike to deal
massive damage.

(Side note: did dinosaurs really fart back in the prehistoric ages?)

Continue along the path around a couple bends; you'll see the path go towards
the left, but there's a rock cluster to the right. Smash it up like normal and
continue to the left. Further along the trail is a rock cluster to the right
that's in the middle of the open, so make sure to smash that one as well. And
don't forget the armadillo that's running around this area! Finally, the path
narrows and is blocked by yet another rock cluster to smash. Just beyond this
lies the second enemy.

OPPONENT 2: Euoplocephalus

At least now the battles aren't getting annoying with the help screens, eh?
Same as the previous fight, pay attention to this opponent's attacks and dodge
as necessary to evade the different attacks it has. And of course, don't miss
out on a chance to score massive damage if he happens to break wind.

Keeping on the path, you'll see the usual breakable stuff, so smash through it
like you normally would. Roar at the armadillo that rolls through if you get
the chance to see him, and get ready for your next fight.

OPPONENT 3: Edmontonia

If it isn't getting repetitive now, there's something wrong. Defeat this
opponent as you did the others in this stage.

Around the corner lies the last rock cluster in this stage, so smash through it
and follow the rest of the path to the boss.

BOSS: Cassosaurus

This boss fight shouldn't be any different than the first time you fought him.
He's got just as much health as he did before, but it seems a little longer to
drop than before. Regardless, utilize dino strikes whenever possible and make
sure to to get hit too much. Too many hits taken and you'll find yourself near
the edge of the ring; push your opponent back a little if you're getting
dangerously close to the edge.

Complete this fight and your Hunter-class dino will reach veteran status, just
as your Predator-class dino did after the second stage. Pretty linear, huh?

                _____________
     __________/ Stage Three \
     -------------------------

We're just movin' right along! After you equip items as you see fit, get back
on that beaten path and continue your seemingly endless adventure down an
equally endless path. Bash through the four obstacles right at the beginning
and you'll find yourself move right into your first fight.

OPPONENT 1: Velociraptor

Oh noes, you're fighting your own breed! If you remember anything from the last
time you fought them, you'll remember that they're prone to being pushed.
Try to push them as much as possible, although it is equally beneficial to try
and drop their health altogether. Fortunately for you, this fight is simple and
should literally take you no more than 30 seconds to finish.

Is it me, or am I starting to see familiar territory?

Continue on that endless path, roaring at both armadillos and smashing through
both rock clusters before you reach the second opponent.

OPPONENT 2: Oviraptor

You already know what to do, even if you think you don't. This battle should
take about as long as the previous one did. Man, frenzy assaults work wonders
on these things, don't they? And I thought they were susceptible to being
bullied...

By now, your inventory should be getting pretty cluttered. Take a brief moment
to browse through your inventory and see if there's anything that you might
want to equip. Who knows, maybe you'll find something awesome that you didn't
realize you had!

When you're done perusing through your inventory, keep marching onward. Roar at
the two armadillos and bash through the countless breakable objects while
simultaneously crushing the few rock clusters that are in your way towards the
third opponent.

OPPONENT 3: Troodon

This fight will take about as long to complete as the two previous fights
combined. The damage you deal on this opponent is only about half as much as
you were dealing on the previous two. Simply dodge his attacks and deliver your
frenzy assaults whenever possible. There's a chance you'll be able to perform a
dino strike or two as well, so make sure not to pass those up.

Finally, pass through the last couple of bone piles and meet up with the boss
(again).

BOSS: Gorgoraptor

The first and most obvious thing about this fight is the health he has. The
second thing would be the minimal level of damage you deal to deplete said
health. And finally, this dude's damage is RIDICULOUS if you get hit. So how do
you defeat this dude? Truthfully, the same way you've defeated everyone else.
Watch for opportunities to perform dino strikes, as this is undoubtedly the
best way to deal damage to this tank of a dino. Also, don't be afraid to call
in your support from the predator class. Your champion dino is just itching to
score some damage (besides, I don't recall ever using him since I started
playing the Hunter class)! With enough dino strikes, you may find that your
opponent is close to the edge, so try and push him off if your attacks aren't
dealing enough damage.

                ____________
     __________/ Stage Four \
     ------------------------

Looks like another case of the same-old same-old. Follow the path, scaring the
armadillo and bashing through the rock cluster at the left of the round-about.
If you're fast enough (which you should be), you'll find yourself chasing the
first opponent, before he abruptly stops and turns around.

OPPONENT 1: Stegosaurus

You've fought this guy once before and won. There's no reason why you shouldn't
be able to do it again. Frenzy assaults seem to work the best against him. Just
be mindful of his attacks, as they can be pretty damaging if you don't dodge
them in time.

After the fight, you should start to recognize some features about this stage
from before, namely the tree spanning over the gorge. Keep going down the path
and around the bends, collecting the usual bones and items from bone piles and
rock clusters, all the while scaring the armadillos that you'll encounter.
Before long, you'll find yourself at the next enemy.

OPPONENT 2: Dacentrurus

Another fight identical to in the past. Ignore the ridiculous amount of health
he has and focus on frenzy assaults. A minute and a half after you start this
fight, you'll be back on the path headed for the third enemy.

When you're done fighting, you'll get back to the usual: breaking bones,
shattering rocks, and scaring rodents. There's a considerable distance to cover
before the next fight, so take a moment to enjoy the lustrious graphics in 3D.
When your eyes have had enough, press on to the third enemy.

OPPONENT 3: Miragaia

As previously stated, there's nothing you don't know that will help you in this
fight. Simply continue utilizing frenzy assaults and you'll drop this opponent
just as easy as everyone else.

There's a good chance you'll miss the armadillo that roams this area if you're
not paying attention, so keep your eyes and ears open for the little rodent
that you can scare into submission. Break the rock cluster and follow the path
to the right and around a few bends to meet up with the boss.

BOSS: Hilierosaurus

Just like before, this beast not only has a ton of health, he has a ton of
damage to back it. He'll switch up from a vertical tail strike to a horizontal
tail strike after his first power up, so keep dodging to the left to evade.
I didn't run into any instances where you could use a dino strike, but I'm sure
the opportunity will present itself if the battle rages on. Use the frenzy
assaults whenever possible to drop his health just as easily as the others.
Your dino will reach Hero-status after defeating this boss, so you'll be able
to equip all the good stuff you found in the Predator class that you couldn't
equip previously. Make sure you have the best setup before you continue on to
the final stage.

                ____________
     __________/ Stage Five \
     ------------------------

Almost done with the second class of dinosaurs, so let's jump straight in and
put this baby to bed!

Same thing as usual, start off your trek down the path by crossing through the
tunnel to the left. Scare the armadillo in here. Bash through the bones on the
other side and crush the rock cluster. Just beyond the rock cluster is your
first opponent.

OPPONENT 1: Carnotaurus

Woo-hoo, time to fight the predators! And strangely enough, this one may
actually pose a significant threat. It's pretty difficult to tell what side
he's going to attack, so you have to have eagle eyes and cat-like reflexes if
you want to pull this one off without losing. Watch his head closely when you
hear him about to attack. If there's excessive movement in his head (trust me,
you'll be able to tell - he'll tilt it to the side), dodge to the left. If you
see his leg lift, dodge to the right. Never miss an opportunity to unleash a
dino strike on him and always use frenzy assaults after dodging. Done right,
you shouldn't have much of a problem, but do be conscious of your health if you
take a couple hits, as this guy will land some serious damage. Don't be afraid
to swap out to your own predator dino if things get too thick.

Back on the beaten path, bash through the rock clusters and scare the
armadillos. There's a breakable item just off to the left of the scorched
trees, so keep an eye out for that. Past the scorched lands and around another
bend lies your second fight.

OPPONENT 2: Ceratosaurus

This fight is pretty similar to the previous one, although it seems a little
easier to tell when and where he's going to attack. Once more, watch for his
movement prior to attacking to tell where he's going to strike and dodge
accordingly. As if you didn't already know, use your dino strikes and frenzy
assaults whenever possible and you'll have yet another fight in the bag.

More scorched lands lie past the second fight, and they just so happen to be on
the cliffside. Marvel at the landscape as you pass it and run through to the
next fight.

OPPONENT 3: Cryolophosaurus

This fight is very similar to the first one, in the sense that it may be
difficult to determine what kind of attack he's going to do until it's too
late. Once more, make sure to pay close attention to his head prior to his
attack to determine what attack he's going to make, then dodge accordingly. I
would say that dino strikes and frenzy assaults will drop this bad boy, but you
already knew that, didn't you?

Crush through the last couple bones in this area and run into the final boss
fight of the Hunter class.

BOSS: Albertosaurus

Same final boss as the first one, but he seems a little tougher. Frenzy
assaults seem to be only slightly effective against him. Regular attacks and
pushes are ineffective; refrain from doing so. That being said, your best bet
is to dodge his attacks as needed and devastate him with dino strikes. As with
the rest of the fights in this stage, pay attention to his head prior to his
attack to determine which side to evade to. Other than that, this fight
shouldn't be entirely too difficult to handle. When you've defeated him, your
dino attains Champion-status! Two champions are under your belt, so get two
more to take on the Arkosaurus!

After a brief interlude describing the Arkosaurus lair, you find yourself back
at the map. Press B to return to the class select screen and scroll over to the
right to start your campaign as a Defender-class dino.

      ___________
     / Defenders \__________
     -----------------------

Pick a dinosaur you would like to start with. The available options are:

  Ankylosaurus
  Euoplocephalus
  Edmontonia
  Stegosaurus
  Dacentrurus
  Miragaia
  Gastonia
  Wuerhosaurus

From there, you will enter the customization phase of the game. This is where
you will be able to change the name, appearance and equipment of your dinosaur.
Name your dino whatever you wish and customize the appearance to your liking,
taking note that more customization options will be available as you progress
through the game. Equip any items as needed and apply your skeleton skin using
the Special Outfit option that is now available, then proceed to starting the
game for the third time.

                ___________
     __________/ Stage One \
     -----------------------

You'll start off in a familiar land, but an unfamiliar part of it. Follow the
path down (aren't you tired of hearing me say that?) and chase after your
opponent. In short time, he'll stop and turn around to fight you.

OPPONENT 1: Triceratops

This is your first fight where your dino has four legs, but the concept remains
the same. Frenzy assaults are ineffective here, so use them only as a buffer
for your regular attacks. Yes, regular attacks do more damage; I know it's
weird.

Keep on the path, round a couple corners and pass through a cave to encounter
your second fight.

OPPONENT 2: Styracosaurus

Same thing as the first fight. Do your best to perform regular attacks, as this
is the most effective way to dispatch this opponent.

Pass around a couple more bends to encounter your first rock cluster to smash,
then bend around the corner of said rock cluster to meet up with your third
opponent.

OPPONENT 3: Einiosaurus

This fight seems to go a lot smoother than the first two. Perhaps it's because
you already know what to do? Use normal attacks to take care of him.

Keep running down the path to encounter your first armadillo; scare him like
you normally would. Pass through a couple corners and prepare to fight the
boss (for the third time).

BOSS: Naxocertops

The good: nothing has changed about this boss since the first two times you
fought him. The bad: his weakness is normal attacks, but he doesn't seem to
give you enough time to exploit this weakness due to his blocks. The ugly: this
is going to be a long fight. Use frenzy assaults every time you dodge his
attack, and watch his health slowly drop. Make sure to pay attention to his
tail and dodge to the left after his second power-up. And try your absolute
best not to get caught by his uppercut. That thing deals some serious damage.
One final note: use your champion dino if things get too rough.

                ___________
     __________/ Stage Two \
     -----------------------

As previously done, follow the path around the couple bends and start your
first fight.

OPPONENT 1: Ankylosaurus

By now you should have a clear understanding of what all of your opponents'
weaknesses are. The guys are weak to dino strikes, so capitalize on their
weakness when they turn blue. Similarly, they're pretty weak to basic attacks,
so try and land a few before you evade incoming attacks. As always, pay
attention to the direction of the tail swing so you can evade as needed.

After the fight, continue the path, as usual. Bash through the rock cluster at
the end of the cave and scare the armadillo in this area. Further down the
path lies a rock cluster that is somewhat easy to miss if you're not paying
attention, so make sure to keep your eyes open for a seemingly inconspicuous
rock cluster to the left. Also, there are a couple rock bundles that can
easily go unnoticed if you're not keeping a watchful eye. Most of these ninja
rocks are lying at the edge of the path, both on the left and right sides.
After a while of travelling down the path, you'll encounter your second
opponent.

OPPONENT 2: Euoplocephalus

This guy isn't any different than the first opponent. Watch his tail swings,
evade his attacks, deliver damage and perform dino strikes whenever possible.

Once more, follow the path around the bends and curves, smashing through bone
piles and rock bundles as you encounter them. Just like the last two times,
there's two armadillos to scare between the second and third opponents. The
second one will once more run towards a cave to the right; follow this cave to
continue your progress. At the end of the cave lies your third opponent.

OPPONENT 3: Edmontonia

Again, no real differences. Be mindful of the direction of his attack.

Bash through the rock at the end of the cave and cross over to the island-like
platform. Time for the boss fight!

BOSS: Cassosaurus

You shouldn't have a problem with this fight. His attack direction switches
after his first power-up, then he mixes it up after the second. Make sure to
dodge accordingly. Defeat him as you did the other three and you'll get your
Defender-class dino promoted to Veteran-status.

You should know what veteran status does now, so equip veteran-level equipment
as necessary and move on to the third stage.

                _____________
     __________/ Stage Three \
     -------------------------

Go through the couple bends at the start of this stage, smashing through rubble
as appropriate, and encounter your first fight.

OPPONENT 1: Velociraptor

This dude has stupid-high health values as well as stupid-high defense values.
Dino strikes are the most effective, however, even dino strikes come few and
far between. There's a high likelihood that you'll encounter a cataclysm in
this match; an earthquake will strike and shorten the ring. Try and go for a
ring-out if you want to take out this opponent in the quickest amount of time.

Pass through the bends and turns of the jungle, smashing through the rock
cluster as appropriate. Scare the rodents like you normally would to increase
your ever-expanding inventory. A small pile of rocks lies behind the first rock
cluster you smash, and it's pretty easy to overlook it, so be mindful to keep
an eye out for it when you get there. The second rock cluster is at the
round-about. Follow the right side of the round-about to smash the rock
cluster, and go all the way around it to ensure you don't miss anything,
then continue on down the path toward the second enemy.

OPPONENT 2: Oviraptor

The easiest way to complete this match is by way of a ring-out. Just like with
the Predators, instead of attacking after you dodge an incoming attack, press A
to push your opponent towards the edge. Continue doing this, scooping up any
dino strikes along the way, until he's defeated.

More distance to cover to the next opponent, so you know the drill. Smash
through breakables, bash the rock clusters, and scare the armadillos. Before
long, you'll reach your third fight.

OPPONENT 3: Troodon

Do the exact same as the fight before and you'll finish this fight in the same
amount of time.

Just a little farther down the path lies the boss. Make sure to hit the
breakables before you get there!

BOSS: Gorgoraptor

Using the same tactics as the previous two fights, force a ring-out by pushing
him off the edge. He uses the same exact attack patterns as the other three, so
it should be just as easy to kill him as it was the others.

                ____________
     __________/ Stage Four \
     ------------------------

Almost immediately after you start moving down the path, an armadillo will
appear. Roar at him when he turns blue, as usual. Further down the path is
another round-about; smash through the rock cluster on the left side. Your
first opponent lies in waiting just around the corner.

OPPONENT 1: Stegosaurus

This fight shouldn't take any effort, just like the previous times fighting.
Use frenzy assaults to drop his health and win the match.

Keep following the path, smashing through all the breakable objects in the
area. Cross the fallen tree spanning over the river (still loving those
graphics!) and crush the rock cluster nearby. If you're listening well enough,
you'll hear an armadillo, but won't exactly be able to see it. Listen for a
slight squeal then roar at it. Although you won't be able to see it until it
runs off, you'll most likely grab the item from it without even seeing it. A
little further down the path is where your second opponent awaits.

OPPONENT 2: Dacentrurus

He's just as easy as the previous fight. Seven frenzy assaults should be
sufficient enough to kill him.

There's a bit of ground to cover before the next fight, so mash the circle pad
up as hard as you can. Unfortunately, this won't change the speed in which you
move...

Scare the armadillo in this area, and smash through all the breakable stuff.
There aren't any rock clusters until after the third fight.

OPPONENT 3: Miragaia

Same thing as before. Seven hits will drop this beast. BUT WAIT!

After this fight, you'll encounter an enemy you've never encountered before!
This new challenger is literally a giant piece of broccoli (named Broco-Lee
[lolwut?]). He's just as easy as your other opponents. Simply dodge his attacks
and send some frenzy assaults your way and he'll be cooked in no time. Can we
get some bacon and melted cheese in here?

Continue down the path (as if it goes without saying), scaring the armadillo,
bashing through the rock cluster, and cruising through the breakable piles. At
the end of the road lies the boss you've already beaten twice.

BOSS: Hilierosaurus

This guy doesn't do anything you haven't already seen. He'll change his attack
from a vertical strike to a horizontal strike after his first power-up, then
mix it up after his second. Defeat him to obtain Hero-status on your
Defender-class dino! By now, you know the drill. Equip your dino as necessary
and move on to the final stage.

                ____________
     __________/ Stage Five \
     ------------------------

Here we go, the second-to-last time you'll have to see this stage! Everything
you need to know about this stage has already been covered, but for the sole
purpose of re-iteration, I'll explain it again. Move down the path as you've
been doing all along. Scare the armadillo in the tunnel and bash through the
rock cluster on the other side. Before long, you'll encounter your first fight.

OPPONENT 1: Carnotaurus

Man, this guy is just a pain in the ass every time you fight him, huh? Like
before, monitor his attacks and dodge accordingly; use the L and R buttons to
dodge to the left and right respectively - this will allow you to dodge a
little quicker than if you used the circle pad. He's weak to dino strikes, so
bash the fool when he turns blue to defeat him. As if this fight weren't bad
enough, Broco-Lee appears for a rematch. Kill him the same way you did before
and you won't have any problems.

Much like before, take out the rock clusters off to the side of the path and
scare the armadillo in this area. Pass the scorched lands on the cliffside and
meet up with your second opponent.

OPPONENT 2: Ceratosaurus

This guy, much like the others, is nothing new. Watch his attacks and dodge
accordingly. This one is slightly more susceptible to dino strikes than the one
before, so you'll be able to do a little more damage on him with them than the
other. Don't be afraid to swap out with your champion-class dino if you need
to. After the fight, Broco-Lee will appear for the third time; dispatch him
just as quickly as the other times.

Back on the path, keep progressing forward, passing another area of scorched
land along a cliff. Your third fight will be in this scorched area.

OPPONENT 3: Cryolophosaurus

You already know how to defeat the dinos in this stage, so keep doing what you
have been all along and you won't have a problem defeating him.

Trample through the last couple of bone piles and meet up with the boss for
this stage (yet again).

BOSS: Albertosaurus

Based on your past three fights (and the past two times you've fought this guy,
this should be a walk in the park. Pay attention to his attacks and dodge as
appropriate. Dino strikes deal the most damage, although frenzy assaults are
good buffers while you wait for a chance at a dino strike. If you're taking too
many hits, call in your champion dino to help out a little to secure this fight
and complete your campaign with the Defender-class dinos. Upon defeat, your
dino will reach Champion-status, which means that there's only one family of
dinos left before you can take on the Arkosaurus!

Once more, read the cutscene text, and press B at the map menu. Select the
Chargers family and set forth on your last assignment before the Arkosaurus.

      __________
     / Chargers \__________
     ----------------------

Pick a dinosaur you would like to start with. The available options are:

  Tricertatops
  Styracosaurus
  Einiosaurus
  Chasmosaurus

From there, you will enter the customization phase of the game. This is where
you will be able to change the name, appearance and equipment of your dinosaur.
Name your dino whatever you wish and customize the appearance to your liking,
taking note that more customization options will be available as you progress
through the game. Unlike the Predator family, you any equipment you acquired in
the previous family to use on your new dino. This gives you an advantage at the
beginning and allows you to continue building up your inventory. As before,
ignore the Special Outfit section, as it remains locked, then proceed to
starting the game (again - this is probably boring you by now...).

                ___________
     __________/ Stage One \
     -----------------------

Just as before, you find yourself in familiar lands. Run up the path and meet
up with your first fight.

OPPONENT 1: Triceratops

Your first fight in this class pits you against your own class! Fortunately for
you, nothing has changed. Normal attacks will take these guys out with ease.

Keep moving up the path, smashing through all obstacles in your path, and
you'll meet up with your second opponent.

OPPONENT 2: Styracosaurus

I need not explain anything about this guy, eh? You know what to do. Use normal
attacks to drop his health while simultaneously dodging any incoming attacks.
After you defeat him, Broco-Lee will appear again (does this ridiculous
vegetable not learn his lesson?). Take him out in the same fashion as before.

Pass around a couple more bends to encounter your first rock cluster to smash,
then bend around the corner of said rock cluster to meet up with your third
opponent.

OPPONENT 3: Einiosaurus

I almost feel that even I sound pretty lame for saying it over and over... Use
normal attacks to take him out.

Keep running down the path to encounter your first armadillo; scare him like
you normally would. Pass through a couple corners and prepare to fight the boss
(for the last time!).

BOSS: Naxocertops

Finally, we're making some progress! Use normal attacks to drop his health.
When he sends an attack your way, instead of performing a frenzy assault, press
A to force him towards the edge of the ring. The battle will be much faster if
you force a ring out rather than trying to deplete his health. Finish the match
and move on to the second stage.

                ___________
     __________/ Stage Two \
     -----------------------

Smash through the bone piles and the rock cluster before going into your first
fight within seconds of starting.

OPPONENT 1: Ankylosaurus

You already know what to do. Use dino strikes to take him out with ease,
although normal attacks do some considerable damage, if you can manage to to
land a hit. Make sure to pay attention which way he strikes so you can dodge
accordingly.

Once back on the path, smash through the countless bone piles and rock bundles,
making sure to scare the two armadillos and smash through the several rock
clusters. One rock cluster off to the far right side has a bone pile behind it,
so make sure to keep your eyes out for that. Once your rampage of destruction
is over, you'll meet up with your second opponent.

OPPONENT 2: Euoplocephalus

I promise you, if you do the EXACT same thing you did as the first fight,
you'll be able to beat this guy in the EXACT amount of time.

Keep moving down this path, smashing through the breakables and scaring the
armadillo; you'll reach your third fight within moments.

OPPONENT 3: Edmontonia

For some reason, this guy likes to block EVERYTHING! It's really a pain in the
ass waiting for him to either attack, or open his defenses to land an attack.
Just keep hitting him when he allows you to perform a dino strike and things
should be golden. After this fight, defeat Broco-Lee for the umpteenth time.

Bash through the rock cluster and follow the rest of the path to the boss.

BOSS: Cassosaurus

Man, this guy doesn't block for nothing! I found myself doing more damage on
him with regular attacks than I did with dino strikes! Regardless of which
method you use to kill him, you should be able to do so fairly easy. Kill the
boss and get promoted to Veteran-status. You already know the deal with that,
so make sure to equip items accordingly.

                _____________
     __________/ Stage Three \
     -------------------------

Just like every other time you've come to this stage, run through the couple
rock bundles and meet up with the first contender.

OPPONENT 1: Velociraptor

This guy is a joke. With the size of your dino compared to his, all you have to
do is push him several times and force a ring-out. If you REALLY want to kill
him though, use dino strikes to do the job.

Scare off the two armadillos in this area, bash through the first rock cluster,
and take the right side of the round-about for another rock cluster. Your
second fight is just beyond the round-about.

OPPONENT 2: Oviraptor

Another simple fight; dodge his incoming attacks and return them with a push.
Accompanied with a couple dino strikes, you'll drop this beast in a matter of
seconds.

Keep on the seemingly endless path, scaring a couple armadillos away in the
process. Break through the breakables and demolish the rock cluster on the left
side of the round-about. Keep going down the path and you'll meet your next
opponent.

OPPONENT 3: Troodon

You can beat this opponent by doing the same exact thing as the fight before.
They share the same move sequences.

A couple breakable items later and you'll find yourself in the ring with the
boss.

BOSS: Gorgoraptor

You can defeat this joke in the same manner as the last few fights. Force a
ring out and you're made in the shade.

                ____________
     __________/ Stage Four \
     ------------------------

Is it me, or does it seem like this campaign is going a lot faster than the
others? You're already on the fourth stage, which means that there's a total of
eight more fights before you are able to access the Arkosaurus' lair. Dive
right and and finish this, since I'm sure you're undoubtedly bored at this
point.

Scare the early armadillo and bash through the rock cluster on the left side of
the round-about, making sure to grab the rock bundle just to the right of it.
Around the corner from the round-about is your first contender.

OPPONENT 1: Stegosaurus

Well we're just flyin' along, aren't we? Use frenzy assaults to deal the most
damage; you won't get any opportunities to perform dino strikes, regular
attacks are too weak, and you just don't gain enough ground by pushing.

Doesn't it seem like it was only ten minutes ago where you passed this stage
with your Defender-class dino? Admittedly, it probably was. Pass over the river
with the fallen tree and scare the armadillo into dropping some goods (that you
probably have no need for at this point, since a lot of the items I've been
receiving are duplicates of one I've already had). Bash through the couple rock
clusters and fight your second opponent.

OPPONENT 2: Dacentrurus

You should be able to kill this beast in the same manner that you did the other
one. Use frenzy assaults to drop his health in the most expedious manner.

Keep on your redundant path, smashing through everything and scaring the
rodents and you'll come face to face with your third opponent.

OPPONENT 3: Miragaia

I'll give you one guess on how to defeat this guy. But since there's no true
way to tell how many guesses you've made before looking, I'll tell you anyway.
Use frenzy assaults to your advantage and defeat him as easy as the others.

Keep running your fat dino's butt off down the path, scaring the rodent that
you'll encounter. Bash through the rock cluster and smash through the bone
piles and rock bundles for more bones to be added to your collection. In short
time, you'll meet up with the boss of this stage for the last time.

BOSS: Hilierosaurus

You should already know what to do and what not to do as far as this fight is
concerned. As usual, be mindful of his attacks, based on the manner he swings
his tail. Before long, you'll defeat him and obtain Hero-status on your dino.
One stage remains!

                ____________
     __________/ Stage Five \
     ------------------------

At long last, you're on the last stage! Equip whatever you feel necessary, and
move on down the final path. Scare the couple of rodents that you encounter and
bash through the rock clusters that you see. After that, it's time to fight the
predators one last time.

OPPONENT 1: Carnotaurus

As with every other time you've fought these baddies, pay close attention to
their behavior before attacking, as this will tell you which way to evade. Use
dino strikes and pushes to your advantage and clinch the victory.

After a couple twists and turns, we find ourselves at the cliffs yet again.
Navigate these cliffs and scare the armadillos for rewards. Make sure to
continue bashing through the rock clusters that you encounter as well. Just
past the first scorched area of land is your second fight.

OPPONENT 2: Ceratosaurus

Defeat this guy in the same manner that you did the previous opponent and
you'll be one step closer to the end.

Enter the second area of scorched land and run through the piles of bone;
here lies your third fight.

OPPONENT 3: Cryolophosaurus

Come on, you're smart! You should be able to handle this bad boy with just as
much ease as the others. Use dino strikes and pushes to send him over the edge
and past the point of no return. Permanently.

As with every other time you've been here, crush through the last two bone
piles and meet up with the boss for the last time.

BOSS: Albertosaurus

Let me start off by saying that if you want any chance at landing a dino
strike, you ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO ACT FAST! Don't waste any time attacking him as
he turns blue, or you'll miss your chance at it. Yes, he's that fast! Continue
to use pushes and dino strikes to send him off the edge, although if you prefer
a lengthy battle, use dino strikes and frenzy assaults. Once defeated, you've
crowned yet another champion! With all four champions awakened, it's time to
take on the Arkosaurus!

Read the cutscene text and back out of the map screen. Press up on the circle
pad and select Arkosaurus Lair.

     ------------------------------

FINALLY A CHANGE OF PACE! On the next screen, you are able to change your
battle order by selecting one of your champions and using the circle pad to
move them in the order you desire. When you have a champion selected, you are
also able to customize them, including their equipment. When you have your four
champions set to your liking, press right on the circle pad until the Start
Fight option is selected on the top screen, then press A.

When you press A, you're entered into a fight with Arkosaurus.

BOSS: Arkosaurus

Wow, this dino is one huge beast! It's going to take every skill you've learned
to put this bad boy down for good, so here we go! This atrocity has three
devastating attacks that you should evade at all costs:

     Attack Direction to Evade

     Uppercut Dodge left or right
     Jump Stomp Dodge right
     Tail Slap Dodge left

Arkosaurus will generally follow this sequence of attacks:

Uppercut Jump Stomp Tail Slap

Do bear in mind that he won't ALWAYS follow this sequence; there are instances
where he will deviate from this order, for instance, skipping a jump stomp and
moving straight into a tail slap.

Also, you have a split second to acqure a dino strike affer his uppercut
attack. Pay close attention to his behavior and anticipate the moment when he
turns blue. Done right, you should have a dino strike that will deal
considerable damage to him. If you feel that his health is just overwhelming
(it is), you can always attempt to force a ring-out.

Finally, be mindful of the duration of the fight. If the fight takes too long,
lava will come and start to damage the both of you. At this point, the first
person to die loses the fight.

When you've defeated the Arkosaurus, read the cutscene text and congratulate
yourself on the completion of a long journey!

So what's next? You can continue to fight Arkosaurus as many times as you wish,
so long as you have one champion of each race of dinosaur. If you're still
unsure of what to do, complete more campaigns with the rest of the breeds of
dinosaur and acquire enough bones to unlock everything. You can find a
comprehensive list of everything that can be unlocked in the Extras section of
this guide.
