    Hop-To-It Bug Hunt

    • Time: 5 minutes
    • Difficulty: 2 stars
    • Description: Catch 4 hopping bugs, like the migratory locust, long locust, etc.
    • In-game description: Locusts are plentiful, but you only have a very limited amount of time before it's game over. Can you win?
    • Tips: Run around the map, and if you see a hopping bug, walk up to it (or creep up to it by holding A) and catch it.

    Level-Up Hammer Tour

    • Time: 3 minutes
    • Difficulty: 2 stars
    • Description: Hit the machine at least 30 times with the hammer.
    • In-game description: Looking for more challenging hammer-bopping action? Then this intermediate tour is perfect for you!
    • Tips: It helps to run in front of the machine, then get in its path and hit it from the front repeatedly. That way the machine is pushing you along so you don't have to run up to it. This tour takes place in a closed off area, with a few rocks scattered throughout the area. When the machine hits a wall or rock, it changes direction.

    Market-Price Fishing Tour

    • Time: 6 minutes
    • Difficulty: 2 stars
    • Description: Catch 10,000 Bells' worth of fish.
    • In-game description: Enjoy a tour that shows the Bell value of the fish as you catch them. If you've good skills, this is where you go!
    • Tips: The highest value fish are in the ocean, so fish there. Run near small fish to scare them away and only go for the big fish. The beach will probably be split into two sections; fish on the side beach if the split doesn't occur there, as it's easier to see fish in the ocean from the side beach.

The fish on this tour, sorted by bell value, are, but not necessarily limited to:

    Market-Price-Bug Tour

    • Time: 5 minutes
    • Difficulty: 2 stars
    • Description: Catch 10,000 Bells' worth of bugs.
    • In-game description: Want to see the Bell value of the bugs you catch as your score goes up? Then this is the tour for you!
    • Tips: This one isn't too bad. Don't waste your time trying to catch the bugs that aren't worth much. The petaltail dragonly, banded dragonfly, birdwing dragonfly, agrias butterfly, emperor butterfly, and the Raja B. butterfly are the main bugs you'll want to go for, as those are the easiest to catch.

    • Time: 5 minutes
    • Difficulty: 2 stars
    • Description: Retrieve 5,000 Bells' worth of sea creatures.
    • In-game description: Can you catch a sea creature worth the most Bells? Sign up for this free-diving Tour and prove your abilities!
    • Tips: You will typically want to go for the larger spots in the water. Usually, the harder it is to catch, the more bells it is worth. See the Wet Suit section for more.

    Master Labyrinth Tour

    • Time: 5 minutes
    • Difficulty: 3 stars
    • Description: Collect 3 each of 3 different types of fruit.
    • In-game description: Are mazes your best frined? Do you want the ultimate challenge of your abilities? Then this tour is for you!
    • Tips: Go for the lower paths first, so you can see a little of what's above so you can avoid wasting time. Try to remember which paths you've taken. Sometimes the bushes obscure your view of the fruit. If you ever need to turn around, instead of rapidly pushing the circle pad in the opposite direction, smoothly make a "U-turn" with the circle pad. This faster method of turning around will prevent your character from screeching to a halt and changing directions.

    For example,

    _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
    X _
    _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
    S _
    _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

If S is you, _ is a bush, and the X is a fruit you are not looking for, you know not to go to the right.

    Octopus Free-Diving Tour

    • Time: 5 minutes
    • Difficulty: 3 stars
    • Description: Catch 5 octopuses.
    • In-game description: Catch as many octopuses as you can while free diving! This tour is only open for professional divers, though!
    • Tips: Most of what you'll see in the water is an octopus. Octopuses move pretty fast. See the Wet Suit section for more.

    Official Balloon-Hunt Tour

    • Time: 5 minutes
    • Difficulty: 2 stars
    • Description: Get 20 points by shooting down balloons with your slingshot. Round balloons are worth 1 point, while the bunny balloons are worth 3 points.
    • In-game description: Are you getting confident in your abilities with a slingshot and want a harder challenge? Then this is the tour for you!
    • Tips: Every time the wind changes, new balloons spawn, but approximately no more than 8 balloons can be on the map at any one time, so sometimes less or no balloons spawn depending on how many balloons are already on the map. The wind changes every 30 seconds, then every 20 seconds starting at 3:00 left. If you get all the balloons and are waiting for the next wave, try to stay near the center of the map so you can access any edge of the map quickly. Balloons will never spawn from the top or bottom; they will always spawn from the direct left or right, or one of the four corners.
      • There are more trees and a few pitfalls in this one. Otherwise it's pretty much the same as the easier version.

    Official Fossil Hunter's Tour

    • Time: 10 minutes
    • Difficulty: 2 stars
    • Description: Find 3 fossils, the ones shown in the sample room (the house on the left), and place them in the same orientation in the display room (the house on the right). The fossils are labeled.
    • In-game description: Is your interest in fossils growing? Then sign up for this intermediate tour, and show your love of fossils!
    • Tips: First head to the sample room and figure out which fossils you need. Then run around the map in the most efficient way possible so you cover the entire map, and dig on any X's you see to get a fossil. Once you get the three fossils you need, head to the display room and place the fossils in the same orientation as that shown in the sample room.
      • When you put a fossil in the right place, it will shine at the base.

The timer actually stops when you leave the house, once all the fossils are in the right place. It takes 6 seconds to get outside the house once walking out of it.

    Official Gardening Tour

    • Time: 5 minutes
    • Difficulty: 2 stars
    • Description: Plant flowers in a 5x5 garden. Tortimer tells you to plant either a specific color or specific type of flower.
    • In-game description: Enjoy gardening as if you truly lived on a lush tropical island! Participation is open to anyone with an interest!
    • Tips: It should go without saying that you should only go for the type/color of flower that Tortimer tells you. Once you get 16 flowers, head back to the garden and stand 1 square away from each of two edges, and plant 9 flowers. This should fill a 3x3 square of flowers, with 2 edges of this square touching the edge of the garden. Then move your character toward an open space in the garden and plant 6 flowers. What should be left is two rows of 5 spaces each. Go collect 9 more flowers, then plant your final 10 flowers in these two rows. Try to plan your route through the map so you cover as much area as possible without going through a section twice.

Below is a 5x5 grid representing the garden, with numbers to indicate planting order. Numbers with a * indicate approximately where you should stand.

    | 1 | 1 | 1 | 2 | 2 |

    Official Hide-and-Seek Tour

    • Time: 8 minutes
    • Difficulty: 2 stars
    • Description: Find 4 animals.
    • In-game description: Enjoy a competitive hide-and-seek with the people on the island! For those who want a bit more challenge.
    • Tips: To win you must talk to each animal in its hiding place. Pick a route to walk through the map so you cover everything in the most efficient way. The animals will be hiding behind trees or houses, and will occasionally tilt left or right to look out. It helps to press Up on the D-pad in deep forested areas to see, because the trees near the bottom of the screen disappear from view so you'll be able to see behind them. Otherwise you can keep an eye on the topmost trees on your screen, because you can see behind those much more easily because the leaves aren't in the way. If you are walking amongst trees and find yourself not able to pass a particular point, it just may be an animal you are looking for.

    Official Item-Matching Tour

    • Time: 5 minutes
    • Difficulty: 2 stars
    • Description: Match items in a 4x4 grid.
    • In-game description: Feeling confident with your shovel and matching skills? Then sign up for this tour and see if you can win gold!
    • Tips: Start by choosing one of the top-most corners and unburying that item. Then work your way downward, unburying each item. If you don't get a match, make a mental note of the item you just unburied and proceed down the column. Once you reach the end of the column, work your way up the next column, and so on. If you happen to make two mental notes of the same item, just remember the two locations that match, instead of the item names. If you find, say, 2 or 3 item pairs of an item you aren't looking for, bury the item you are currently looking for and match the items up. To bury the item that you are currently looking for, dig a hole and the game will ask if you want to bury the item.
      • If you feel so inclined to cheat and quickly write down all the items and their locations so you don't have to try to memorize it, you will need a partner. Even if it took just 5 seconds per item to write it down, that time adds up.

    Official Labyrinth Tour

    • Time: 5 minutes
    • Difficulty: 2 stars
    • Description: Collect 3 each of 2 different types of fruit.
    • In-game description: Feeling confident in your maze-navigating skills and want a higher challenge? Then sign up for this tour!
Official Ore Tour

    • Time: 4 minutes
    • Difficulty: 2 stars
    • Description: Get 16 points. Ordinary ore is worth 1 point each. A random piece of ore, of which there are 4, is worth 3 points each, and Tortimer tells you the name of this ore. Another random piece of ore is worth 10 points each, but its identity is kept a secret; you are only told that there is exactly 1 of this type of ore.
    • In-game description: Have you got a good grasp of ore finding and want more of a challenge? Then sign up for this tour right away!
    • Tips: Try to pick a route through the map that will have you cover the entire thing in the most efficient way possible. You want to try to hit all the rocks. Pick up all ore you come across until your pockets are full. Then look at your pockets and try to determine which type will be the mystery bonus ore. Any ore that you have more than one of will not be the bonus ore, and the 3-point ore obviously won't be the bonus ore also. Make note of the ore that could be the bonus ore, and continue searching, continuing to mentally eliminate potential bonus ore once you find more than one. If you find ore that is worth 3 points, open your pockets and drop one of the other ores that you know is not the 10-point ore (as replacing it when you pick up the 3-point ore takes too long because of the text) and pick up the 3-point ore. There are always 4 pieces of the 3-point ore. If done well, by the end of the tour you should know what the mystery bonus ore is.
      • There are 6 types of ore: gold nugget (yellow), silver nugget (silver), ruby (pink), amethyst (purple), emerald (green), and sapphire (blue).

    Official Scavenger Tour

    • Time: 6 minutes
    • Difficulty: 2 stars
    • Description: Get 3 pieces of furniture, the ones on your list, and return to Tortimer with those 3 items, and ONLY those 3 items, in your pockets. (You can have other non-furniture items in your pockets, however.)
    • In-game description: Are you good enough to win this intermediate scavenger hunt? It makes for a good challenge to past players!
    • Tips: Furniture will only be found in the houses, never in the trees or lying on the ground. Go to the nearest house and, once inside, check your list and memorize what's on it. If you are already familiar with what some/all of those pieces of furniture look like, then great. Otherwise, pick up anything that looks likes something on your list, then head outside and check your list. Make note of which items have a checkmark next to them, for those are the items you have obtained. Head to the next house and repeat. If your pockets ever get full, stand outside and drop any furniture items not on your list. Once you get all 3 furniture items from your list and have emptied your pockets of all furniture items that aren't the 3 you were tasked to find, head back to Tortimer.
      • What makes this tour harder is that there is more furniture in each house.

    • In-game descriptiona: Do you have what it takes to be a free-diving master? Prove it with this advanced free-diving tour!
    • Tips: Stick to Strategy #2 in the Wet Suit section. You may get unlucky with the infrequent spawn rate of sea creatures; sometimes I barely get 9 and other times I can easily get 10 with over a minute to spare.

    • Time: 5 minutes
    • Difficulty: 3 stars
    • Description: Catch at least 5 sea urchins.
    • In-game description: Ready to get out there and find some sea urchins? Then sign up, and prepare to free dive! Advanced players only!
    • Tips: Sea urchins are the tiny stationary spots. If it's a medium or large spot, or it's moving, don't waste your time going for it. Strategy #2 in the Wet Suit section works best. This tour might take a few tries to get gold, because while it's not too hard, you might just have terrible luck with getting sea urchins to spawn.
