Why did Zelda try to open the Sacred Realm?
At the end of the game, Zelda said that what happened to Hyrule was her fault due to trying to open the Sacred Realm (which holds the Triforce) when she was a child. Why did she try to open the Sacred Realm?

She asked Link to open it because she wanted Link to become a hero and stop Ganondorf, which would have required the Master Sword and whatnot. What she didn't know was that Ganondorf was trying to open up the sacred realm himself and take the triforce, which meant she unwittingly aided Ganon in her attempt to stop him.
