"The best WWF wrestling game on the NES"

There have been a lot of wrestling games made over the years, moreso for the WWF than for WCW. The WWF has had some very good games, especially recently, but some of the older games had more problems than mae Young in the nude. One game, WWF Wrestlemania: Steel Cage Challenge, was one of those games. King of the Ring, however, is the complete opposite. The game actually is very fun and much more realistic than any other WWF game on the NES. It is definetly the best NES WWF wrestling game.

Graphics (8.2/10): The charcater models are much more realistic than other games on the NES. The moves look very good when they are pulled off and there is hardly any slowdown throughout the game.

Music/Sound (8.3/10): pretty good music overall, because I believe this game featured the wrestlers theme songs in it. The sound effects are pretty good as well. There are no beeps and bloops which is always pretty good in my book. Overall, the music and sound are both top notch.

Gameplay (8.8/10): There were a total of 10 wrestlers to choose from: Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Razor Ramon, Lex Luger, Yokozuna, Undertaker, Bam Bam Bigelow, Mr. Perfect, Hulk Hogan, and Randy Savage. There was also the Create-a-Wrestler mode where you can customize the wrestler's attributes for strength, speed, height, and weight and give him a name. The game, once you get into it and start playing it, is fast and very fun. Conisdering the fact that the Nintendo Entertainment System controller had only two buttons, the game had pretty good control. There still is a lack of moves but there is enough there for me to be satisfied.

Replay Value (3.4/10): Unfortuantely, with Smackdown out, the replay value suffers a lot. Too bad, because this game is good

Challenge (8.1/10): It gets quite challenging after a while.

Overall (9.1/10): The best WWF Wrestling game on the NES. If you're looking for a WWF wrestling game for the NES, this is the one to get.
