"An excellent game that exceeded my expectation"
I love this game in so many ways let me count them. The graphics are great, excellent sounds quality, and the shear fact that it has a variety to it makes the replay ability to it marvelous. The premise of the game is like final fight. You choose from a variety of character (6 total) to go to war against the evil forces of evil. Each character has their different attributes to themselves. Once selected they go on a journey across a 2 1/2 hour plus journey battling the evil forces that reign the land.
Graphics:(8) Nothing to scream at but they have a nice clean cut to the graphics. The background is great changing scenery after every stage no rehashed BS. Also the character models are neat to. They have a pretty good amount of detail to them and move fluidly.
Sounds and music: (8)Also the game sounds and music are great with a symphony type background music. The thuds of punches and attacks are excellent and the sound effects for spells are good too.
Replay:(10) Now heres where the game shines to perfection. The game has such an in-depth system its not funny. It has a branching system that more games need to implement. Once you complete the stage you have a choice of paths to take. Not only that but the selection that you have is like two totally different stages to it. The weapon system is great where each character has a different type of attack to them. The elf has magical power, the fighter uses daggers hammers and other Conan the Barbarian objects, and other have unique ability's. It will never the the same game twice for a long time unless you have the money to go with it.
Gameplay:(9) One of the better games made in the arcade. Like I said its a different game almost every time. Its not too difficult yet brings a challenge out of you like no other. My only beef is that after a while like with every game that you'll get tired especially with this game. I played it for almost 3 hours and i am not sure how far I was. Cost me almost 18 dollars.
Overall:(9) I love this game. I wish this was ported onto a console. This beats a lot of the terrible (i spent 4 hours total developing this type) games that roam free on the consoles. A true classic that will probably not see the light of day in a lot of arcades.
