Dragonfire
Review by Tim the Game Guy
"Wow, look at that guy go!"
A game made back in 1982 by Imagic, this game is based around one civilian, a castle, and a dragon.

Category Summary
The Scoring categories are...
Story - The mission or reason the game exists. Does the story give me the feel for the game? Or does it just seem to be ''there'' for no reason? If there is no story, the review will ignore this category.
Graphics - The presentation of the game. Does it work for the style of the game? Or does it seem ''out of place''?
Music - The songs of the game. Does it warrant a listen to? Or would I rather listen to something else?
Sounds - The sounds of the game. Does it bring out the game? Or does it just annoy me?
Gameplay - The handle of the game. Does it feel that you are in control? Or does it feel that ''leaps of faith'' would define the controls?
Fun Factor - The game's enjoyment. Would you enjoy the game? Or would it just bore you quickly?
Replayability - The possibility of bringing you back to the game. Are you going to play a game a month later to remember how good it was? Or just to see why you hated it so much?

Story
Well, there is not much of a story to speak of since I don't have the manual, so it would be bad to rate this game in this category. If you want one...
''You were in a bar having one too many drinks of caffeine. Your friend made you a bet that you could have passed up - get the objects out of an angry dragon's castle. Because you were so hopped up with caffeine, you didn't hear what he said and immediately agreed.''
Score: --/10
Graphics
This game had some good graphics for the Atari... considering. The guy is animated with, perhaps four frames, and most of the objects had some good coloring on it. The dragons look pretty nice, though. Just don't get burned by them.
Score 8/10
Music
There is no music to speak of, so this category is negated. If you want music, play your own.
Score - --/10
Sounds
Well... it's an Atari. It has the ''boing'' sound for the guy's jump and the burp sound of the flame... and the down sound they play when you lose all of your lives (you start with six, that's guy's also persistent).
Score - 7/10
Gameplay
It is a simple game. You dodge fireballs, collect items, and go to the next map. Nothing that is too complicated. The dragons are hard, though, as they become faster and more vicious. Luckily, you keep drinking your caffeine drinks and you move faster as well. If you need to break, there is always the door to hide at. The white dragon, though... what a pain in the...
Score - 9/10
Fun Factor
The game can actually be a lot of fun at times. You, in your caffeine-enriched raid, can run circles around the dragons (especially the first dragon). It can be really bad when a later dragon corners you and they blow fire like there is no tomorrow, but that is reserved for people who are truly screwed.
Score - 8/10
Replayability
Well, personally, I could only continue stealing from the white dragon before putting down the controller and saying, ''I'm done!''
Score - 6/10

Recommendation - It's good for a while, but don't count on being too interesting. If the challenge of going after dragons is good, then go play it. You would enjoy it... and remember to not make a bet while loaded with caffeine.
