"Greatest hockey game EVER MADE! Skill stick? AI that adapts? This is way better than that nonsense"

Ice Hockey, in short, is the greatest game in the universe. This game is amazing on all aspects; graphics, sound, story, AI, environment , gameplay etc...Screw NHL08, Jim Dangle and Senseless hockey scrubs need to step back and assess this situation from a clear view, you are missing out on one of the greatest hockey games ever made.

Graphics- The Atari 2600 is by no means recognized as a console with exceptional graphics among game developers and game critics, however, these people must be blind. This game came out in 1981 and basically revolutionized the gaming industry. The graphics are crisp and sharp and to this day are unmatched. The graphics are truly flawless

Sound- The sound in this game is amazing. It sets a great atmosphere, for example, the crowds in this game are so life-like. Playing in GM Place with the Vancouver Canucks, the crowd always chants "TREVOR LINDEN, OH YEAH!" Whenever a goal is scored, or whenever the home team scores. This is truly amazing, and to this day is unmatched. Just like the graphics, the sound is flawless


Gameplay- Nowadays, skill stick and poke checks and body checks and goalie control infest the control schemes to a lot of todays Ice Hockey games. I think that is disgusting. The controls in this game absolutely decimate the control scheme in games like NHL 2k8, NHL08 and even NHL09 and NHL10. There is no need to poke check in this game, or control your players stick, you just play the game like you would in a real hockey game, and that makes this games experience all the more better. Overall, the graphics are unmatched, and yes, I emphasize the usage of words truly and unmatched, to assertively get my point across that this game is the greatest hockey game ever made.

Final Thoughts

No, the AI won't adapt to your passing tendencies, and they won't hip check you either. You won't be able to slap pass or go glove high. There is no online or community full of LOL DANGLE'D U kids. But it will give you an orgasm. It will make you scream for more, it will take you to the sky and make you bask in all its glory. You will feel smarter, cleaner, and more intelligent after playing a game like this, and no, the faceoffs won't reset just like in NHL08's totally flawed online servers, courtesy of EA.
