"Save the world for the umpteenth time!"

OK, stop me if you've heard this one: Strange creatures from outer space are invading Earth, and you're the only one who can stop them! (cue the fruits and vegitables) Yes, I know it's an old plot, but it's what keeps the original charm of Space Invaders intact! The fact that these strange creatures are attacking Earth, and just when you get the upper hand, they come back in spades!


Graphics: 8/10
Those invaders do look a little bizarre in comparison to most aliens, and the gun does look a bit like a christmas tree(!) Still, it's the best we can do on such an early system, and even if they don't look good, they still constantly attack Earth! Plus, those weird looks make for another reason to vaporize them out of our solar system!


Sounds: 10/10
That infamous sound of those aliens starting their assault is enough to make me take my battle station! The 'bleep' of an alien being vaporized, to the sound of the UFO entering the screen, all of it brings back the good old days!


Controls: 10/10
All you need here are a joystick and some darn good reflexes! Move left and right, dodging alien fire, and countering with your own shots!


Replay: 10/10
You know how Atari games have different variations? Space Invaders takes the cake with over 200 different variations total, including no shields, team play, invisible invaders, and plenty more. There's definitely something for everyone here, whether you're a pro or novice, long gamer or just a quick gamer. Hey it works great for insomnia. Try it when you can't sleep on Christmas Eve!

Hey, if you don't know what this game is, then what are you doing in this world? Go out and play Space Invaders! See if you could defend the Earth in case evil aliens were to attack! I know I can, but what about you?
