| 4. search really needs to be able to scan posts not just topic titles, but not if it severely impacts performance. finding posts by specific users would be good to, despite paranoia about potential harassment. Maybe an option like the ignore list where you can keep certain people from searching for your posts by username

see no reason not to, doesn't dramatically change the site, but if it's a pain to back end it there's probably better things to work on, i've not really had any huge problems with the search as it is (although i don't really frequent huge traffic boards)
