I've got two old Nintendo Power issues, one of a four page preview of the game, and another that has a walkthrough up until the Erromon Mountains and also contains the review for the game.

Nintendo Power Issue 140 Scans (Preview of the Game done in a really cool narrative style of writing):

I will add the next issue's Aidyn content that includes a walkthrough of the game up until the mountains as I said previously, as well as the review when I get time (and am not so lazy). I really like these so I thought I'd share them with anyone still around here.

Nifty.
I have every issue of Nintendo Power, but they're all sitting up in storage at my in-law's house.

Nice find. I too have a magazine (not sure if it's Nintendo Power) that has a walkthrough for the game's early stages, though I don't think it reaches the mountains. Definitely remember talking about the castle portion and who to pick as allies, though.
