I haven't played since that post (just finished RE2, crazy how long RPGs take compared to other games!)
Wasn't this a good topic though? I honestly don't think I would of stuck with it if it hadn't been for all the good advice, so thanks everyone :)
I should play some PS3 games but the PSX is just such a good console, going to play RE2 again Leon B this time. I'm also planning to get a PSP and I might try another PS1 RPG on that.
Another monster tamer maybe? I've heard Dragonseeds and Digimon are both good but I haven't played either. --- -----

Why don't you try one of the old school roguelikes? --- http://biolab.warsworldnews.com/index.php SaGa Frontier Community Forum

Jade Cocoon , monster tamer but with normal RPG battle system like that turn based on Final Fantasy series. After getting ending you can play at never ending randomly generated dungeon.
The interesting part is the fusion of animal that you can capture like pokemon. They got 4 primary stat atk def magic and speed with balanced stats , so if you got high atk def it will dumb and slow. If you fuse that with high atk speed , it will give you very high attack with mid def and speed and more lower int. They got physical skill like horn , tail , claw , foot , fang and magical element skill that you can mix too. Fusing spider with bird can give you spider with wings appearance lol.
The 2nd series is on PS2 , got way different gameplay system but this one is quite a hit. Back then its board are popular :p

Way too difficult. I'm not as patient as I used to be, I bet I was better at videogames at 7 years old than I am today. Having said that I am interested in Dungeons of Dredmor, I'll will get that at some point. Oh and I finished Cardinal Quest with the wizard which was short but cool.
I have heard of Jade Cocoon, though I've never played it. I think I'll check that out. --- -----
