The PC version also has CnCnet which basically redirects the PC's LAN mode to their servers.
I will say this much - Linkup mode on the Playstation was fun, but could slow down to a crawl at times with 2 players and 2 AI teams - especially on some maps where games could become near unplayable. --- Where logic won't work - I will PAL Gamers unite - http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/277-pal-gaming

Yeah... I've played through a few four-hour Link Games thanks to the slowdown and some unfathomably dangerous AI giving us both a solid (and very disruptive) early-game kicking.
