Memory Card

I noticed that this game uses 10 blocks from my memory card.
Can I create more characters without erasing the progress of my first one? If I do so, will it use more blocks from the memory card or will it stay at 10?

you can create characters as long as you do not save the game and just save the characters

Thanks.
When I went to Nightmare with my saved character, I lost every unique item (it was converted to gold). Does this always happen, or is there a way to carry over your unique items?

I see... Well it's hard, the only items I brought from Normal mode were 2 rings and an amulet... Reached level 5 but I'm struggling with the equipment I got from Griswold.
Should I go back and hunt good magic equipment from Normal mode, or should I continue in Nightmare?

I think the game takes 10 blocks but all your saved characters are on a separate 1 block aren't they?

Yes, the saved characters go into a separate block.
Started the game on normal with my warrior (lvl 26). It was extremely difficult playing in Nightmare without good equipment...
Can you get the best magical gear in Normal, or does it only appear in Nightmare and Hell?

To be honest I can't remember but I'd assume you'd get better drops at higher difficulty settings. Wirt has some kick-ass stuff a lot of the time too.

Usually about Level 9 in the caves, or since your character is level 26 and assuming you already have good equipment, this is where you'll start finding better gear. But if you can make it to Hell (Levels 13-16), that's where you'll find the great stuff, especially if you get the Warlord of Blood quest. But if that doesn't satisfy you, then yeah start a Nightmare game.

Here's what I usually do when I start a new character. I'll play two of each difficulty. I'll play two Normal games in a row, then two Nightmare, etc. I'm usually satisfied with my character after the second game of Hell difficulty.
