More gems = more powerful summons?

#1StorAllPosted 12/25/2008 8:53:34 PM
I just read this line from shotgunnova's faq:

"In case you've forgotten, summons increase in power
according with their gemstone's type (i.e. Shiva powers up with more Opals)"

Does this mean the more opals you have in your inventory, the more powerful shiva's attack is? I never knew that...

Yes that's right.
Ark's power is increased by the Lapis Lazuli in inventory, since it isn't learned from a gem. Also, Odin's chance of inflicting instant death increases with the number of Ores in inventory, but the damage it does with the ability Odin's Sword is decreased with more Ores.

Also for Phoenix - More Phoenix Pinions = Increased % chance of Phoenix appearing to revive the whole party if the whole party is wiped out. Pretty broken.

Not really. It's kinda nifty, but 33% revival at best is still iffy.

33%? FAQ has it as 38.3% o_o That's better odds :) It's not sure fire no but still pretty broken to those that have had Phoenix appear like five times or more in a row vs Ozma in challenges or what not ;p Not extremely broken due to it not being cert but still nifty/kind of/pretty yeah. That's what I mean really >.> It's more broken than what some characters have anyway :)

So, the more Ore you are, more chance that Odin will miss?
#8CloudSith5060Posted 1/2/2009 4:05:00 AM
No, the more Ore you have, the better chances of Odin KOing, but the less damage he does with Odin's Sword if he fails to KO. So, either get 99 Ore and pray that he kills everything, or get 0 Ore and use him for damage.

better use him for damage, almost always 9999 and nearly as strong as ark

33%? FAQ has it as 38.3%

The chance is (Number of Phoenix Pinion / 256), so the maximum is 99 / 256 or 38.671875%.
