Nah, you don't really need Mix. And Spherimorph is not immune to physical attacks, in any version. That user that gave you wrong information.

I mean, a few of us have got to BFA in NSGRONO (No Sphere Grid, Rikku Only, No Overdrives). Use is all you need, really.

Greater Sphere is immune, though, as are a fair few of the arena creations
Greater Sphere is not Immune to Physical
The only enemies that have that trait in the Arena is Jumbo Flan and Neslug (only periodicaly whilst in it's Shell)

Overdrives still hurt, even if the enemy is immune to physical attacks.

Overdrives may still damage enemies immune to physical attacks, but it won't do much if the enemy has a high Defense stat. This is true of Jumbo Flan for example. It's immune to physical damage, but if you use an overdrive such as Slice and Dice, Blitz Ace or Attack Reels it will do some damage, but not much due to Jumbo Flan's 255 Defense stat. In other words, overdrives don't ignore Defense.

OK wow, thanks for pointing that out! I guess it won't be too difficult. The fact that I haven't played this game in awhile is what will probably provide the real difficulty for me! lol

Played a little today to just get started. Stopped after I got to Wakka. I'll let you guys know if anything interesting happens later.

The NM restriction is cheapened a bit if you still allow items, which replicate most spell effects. Come to think of it they do it better, since they deal special damage rather than magical (bypassing shell), ignore magic defence, and delay the user's turn less (Use command is rank 2, as opposed to rank 3 for most spells and rank 4 and up for Flare and Ultima).

I agree with that assessment, however, what other course of action can I take when faced with fighting Spherimorph and other similar situations? Don't forget I'm not using Aeons, so basically Lulu and Yuna are almost useless.

Anyway, just got to Kilika, so far no problems as you'd expect. I had to use a Thunder spell and Summon Valefor for the tutorial battles, I didn't have a choice. Other than that, so far so good.

I think I'm going to take Kimahri down Rikku's path to get Steal and Use. What do you think? I could go Tidus or Wakka, but Rikku seems the most useful in this challenge.

Not really a challenge is it?.. Rikku/Wakka/Tidus is the best team anyways. As soon as you get Rikku everything will be regular basicly, all you gotta do is farm Hi-Potions.

Not using Aeons isn't a challenge whatsoever. I find Aeons utterly useless because of Quick Hit and the celestial weapons.
