Is there no way to get into Besaid Village without beating Dark Valefor, my partys no where near strong enough to take it down and I want to go get Aurons Sphere and Valefors Energy Blast :(

Ive forgotten on every single playthrough Ive done, and then realized when it was too late to go back :/

You can't avoid the fight (without cheat/save editor). You can, however, get Yojimbo and attempt to Zanmato the bird. Kinda cheap but if you think about the challenge, she was the weakest of the DAs, so you still have plenty to test yourself with the remaining ones.

dude ffx has been out for years now, and your only just asking this question now????
you definatly cannot avoid dark aeons (unless you stupidly walk into them when your too weak) its best to train excessivly on monster arena species conquest untill you get strong enough (aka 255 atk def mag def evasion agi and such)

This is one of my only complaints about INT/PAL. If you don't turn around and go alllll the way back to Besaid before you fight uh... whatever that machine is called that Brother send out you have to defeat Dark Valefor to get that sphere. And you can only get it after defeating Spherimorph.

but why would you need the sphere so early? i only get them when I'm maxing things. I drop Auron fairly early in the post-game, so I only complete his overdrives for the sake of doing it, not for actual usefullness. Dark Valefor doesn't even require max stats, he's pretty weak compared to the others.
