Same Sphere Grid challenge

Anyone ever do something like this? Much more viable on Int/PAL version since everyone starts at around the same spot.

Have everyone go through Wakka's or Tidus' SG path only, for example. No diverging into other paths to learn certain skills. Only stick to what Wakka or Yuna would normally learn, and so on.

Just seemed like a fun idea to have everyone go through Lulu's, Yuna's or Tidus' path to make it a little silly and (probably) harder.

Anyone ever do this?

No, but this sounds amazing.

Throwing everyone on Tidus' board sounds delicious. All those Delay Attacks...

7 Rikkus sounds pretty fun. I like the idea of most damage output coming through Steal/Use.

Lulu? Epic Defense/Evasion while you spam Focus and elemental weakness. There's enough spellcasting to find time to cast Bio. Demi spam could be interesting as well, especially with minimal Customization.

Auron. Debuffs. Debuffs everywhere.

Wakka. Everyone can kill Ahrimans for free. AW YEAH.

LOLYuna. LOLKimahri. Well, Yuna would be more or less safe thanks to Agility/Cure, but offense would essentially be NSG until you get Holy. Still going with LOLKimahri.

Would characters be allowed to use anything they start with, or only what they learn in the other person's Sphere Grid?(Like Wakka's Dark Attack, Yuna's Cure, Lulu's base spells, etc)

I think a "limited node challenge" might be even more interesting. Basically, set a limit (say, 15 nodes) and each character can only activate that many. Their initial ones are included, and no restrictions on which 15 (or whatever) you can activate. Obviously, to make it challenging you'd have to add some other restrictions...

Its a black magic learned in his sphere grid, so logically its a part his SG.

So I may be trying this in the very near future. I was thinking of doing it with Tidus' path, as the nigh-infinite Time Magic will help offset the average physical stats, and the Accuracy isn't terrible. Overdrives won't be totally useless except for Lulu, and Quick Hit will be delicious.

However, Yuna's kinda stuck for a while, so I was considering either building her naturally, putting her in with a Teleport Sphere on Cheer/Delay Attack, or holding out for a Delay Buster teleport.


If not Tidus, I was considering a Lulu game, with perhaps some staggering of the spells. Tidus gets water, someone else gets fire, yet another only gets Bio/Demi/Death, etc. Not sure how I'd split it up, but there'd be plenty of time.


Any thoughts?
