sin would just possess yojimbo and come back, then no one could summon him again.

I doubt Yu Yevon has enough Gil to possess Yojimbo. --- http://www.youtube.com/user/17Master http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m196/Valor07/CPlanetSuccess.png

But who would possess his 'ittle doggie? No matter, Zanmato wouldn't work.
Through events in the game, Sin exhibits regenerative abilities, which shouldn't be a big surprise, when you acknowledge that Sin is made up of trillions of pyreflies. When Sin's arms/wings were severed by Fahrenheit's machina laser, they were already regrown by the time he took to the air again.
There's a good chance that if Sin was sliced in half by Zanmato, one half would dissipate into pyreflies, only to be brought back by the gravity field that holds Sin together, and ultimately reform to make Sin whole once again. --- Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand. Currently playing: FFX, The World Ends With You, Tales of the Abyss, Madden NFL 12, MGS2: Substance.

You have to defeat Yu Yevon to stop Sin from coming back, previous summoners defeated Sin with the final aeons but then they were possessed and become the new Sin. IMO maybe so did try to do this, but after giving him 10m+ gil he used wakizashi

It's just that he loved coming up with... alternative theories. This thread just reminmded me of those times. --- "As the good archmage often admonishes me, I ought not to let my mind wander, as it's too small to go off by itself." -Danilo Thann
