IIRC, you can get it as soon as you're out of Kokori Forest. Not completely sure though, you might need the Boomerang or bo mbs. --- StealthWarrior | Posted 9/29/2008 4:08:48 PM (#043) I'm cold and distant to the extreme and I'm definitely not trying to cover anything up. I'm just a bastard.

Oh, that's right. Sorry, I just spent forever on my first run through the Shadow Temple (I got stuck in the Water Temple when I was a little kid playing this and finally got around to beating it through the VC), and my mind's all blurred. --- StealthWarrior | Posted 9/29/2008 4:08:48 PM (#043) I'm cold and distant to the extreme and I'm definitely not trying to cover anything up. There's a glitch where you can get it right after the Great Deku Tree.
As a child, go to Kakariko. The well should be filled with water. Shoot the chicken a certain amount of times (I think it's 5? I don't remember.) so that if you hit it with one more jump attack it will do the multiple-chickens-chasing-you thing.
Pick up the chicken, and take it to the rim of the well. Stand on the elevated rim, and throw the chicken to the other side of the elevated rim. While it's jumping in one place, do a jump attack over the water, and the chicken should do the "CUCCCOOOO!" thing, which follows with all those chickens chasing you.
While it's cuccoo'ing, instead of swimming at the top of the water, your character will sink to the bottom and be standing at the bottom of the well.
When the cuccoo'ing stops and you regain control of your character, your character will start floating again. Quickly swim into the entrance to the Bottom of the Well dungeon, and there you go. --- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XiCtAUrZbUk -- Defeating the Running Man of Ocarina of Time in a race since 01/17/2009. --
