Just bought this game today & playing it for the first time. Would anyone happen to know a website that has maps for the areas in the game? Also, Would anyone have any tips or advice? Thank you in advance for any help. :)

Not finding any, online. At least, no decent collection of them. Maybe an area here, another there, part of one over there. (The FAQs page here has a schematic map of one of the most confusing dungeons in the game, I see.)
RPGClassics has maps for the old Sega CD version, but there are a variety of areas in this version NOT in that one (although most of THOSE are small and straightforward), and there may be differences between the places they do share (almost certainly are; this is a proper remake, not a mere port).
For the most part, you shouldn't really need maps, anyway. You can get away with some really badly-drawn basic layouts on scrap paper, if you must, and many areas won't even need that much.
But the only place I know I can find full sets of their maps is in the official strategy guide, either to this version or to the PSP version (the maps are essentially unchanged between these versions, although chest contents may differ). --- "As the good archmage often admonishes me, I ought not to let my mind wander, as it's too small to go off by itself." -Danilo Thann
