Thanks, but what about the other games? Like MG for the NES and MGS: Acid and Acid2, and MGS:PO? Also what about the remake of this game? --- BAWLS lol ms [Cronosecks] lol wut

The remake of this, The Twin Snakes, is pretty lame. Acid 1 & 2 are spin offs that aren't part of the main series. Most games have recaps of the first two Metal Gear games so you know what happened.

PO you should play after 3 and before 4. --- Anticipating: Resident Evil 5, Final Fantasy XIII, Halo 3: ODST, Call of Duty 6, Halo Wars.

The correct order is the following:
Metal Gear Solid 3 (PS2) Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops (PSP) Metal Gear (MSX, NES, with the MSX version being the "true" version of the game. This was also included with MGS3:Subsistence) Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake (MSX, also included with MGS3:Subsistence. There was an NES game called Metal Gear 2: Snake's Revenge but it's non-canon) Metal Gear Solid (Playstation. Was remade as MGS: The Twin Snakes for the Gamecube, but I think the Playstation version is still considered the "true" version of the game as far as storyline goes.) Metal Gear Solid 2 (PS2) Metal Gear Solid 4 (PS3)
There were also a few other Metal Gear games such as the aforementioned Snake's Revenge, Metal Gear: Ghost Babel (a Gameboy Color game released as Metal Gear Solid in North America) and the Metal Gear Acid games. None of these are part of the main Metal Gear continuity. Both Snake's Revenge and Ghost Babel are alternate timelines branching off of the first game. I haven't played any of the Acid games so I'm not sure where they branch off from the main continuity.

Yeah, don't play the NES Metal Gear. It's crap. Play the MSX Metal Gear. --- Anticipating: Resident Evil 5, Final Fantasy XIII, Halo 3: ODST, Call of Duty 6, Halo Wars.

Thanks for the order guys, I was wondering why was MGS made this way as in, the story goes from 3 to OPS and etc etc. Why didn't they make the story go just linear?
I thought this would be the first of the series when I realized that the Colonel IS Roy Campbell from OPS (He is right?)
Hell it's time to buy the whole collection, the MGS series seems like they are completely awesome.
Sorry for the bunch of questions but I just wanna know so i do it rong. If you know what I mean. --- BAWLS lol ms [Cronosecks] lol wut
