Any Suggestions?

I loved this game and it's sequel!! It is exactly the kind of point-and-click adventure game I enjoy on the PC. Does anyone have any suggestions as to other games out there that are similar. I have played all the Law and Order games and love them too. Just finished Overclocked and Art of Murder. It seems like there isn't much to choose from it this genre anymore. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you. Happy Gaming!! :)

It depends on what you mean, I guess. If you're into FMV games, I think Gabriel Knight 2 is the best you'll find.

Actually, all of the Sierra adventure games were pretty good. Gabriel Knight series, King's Quest, Space Quest, Leisure Suit Larry (if that's your thing). GK is a mystery series, KQ is kind of your standard adventure game, SQ is a funny parody of all things science fiction, Leisure Suit Larry is the American Pie of adventure games.

I never followed Lucas Arts, so I can't tell you about their games. They did some amazing adventure games too, from what I heard.

If you're looking for something more contemporary, Sam & Max is probably the funniest adventure game to come out recently. I just started the Syberia series, which reminds me a bit more of Myst than other adventure games.

If you're into freeware, the Reality on the Norm series is a cool little project that's been going on for a while: http://ron.the-underdogs.info/games.php
You might also want to look into this site which has TONS of free adventure games (all legal, of course): http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/

Short answer: I recommend the GK series.

ALSO: Noah Antwiler recently did a hilarious Mystery Science Theater style video of Phantasmagoria 2, which you might be interested in: http://www.spoonyexperiment.com/category/phantasmagoria/

Oh, if you're into the mystery/horror aspect, check out 7th guest sometime. It's a puzzle game rather than an adventure game though.

Also keep in mind that a lot of these old games put up a fight under Windows XP and you may have to use DOSBox
