Hard Mode Runs, i have a question...

I usually play RE2 pc version in my notebook @ work (yeah im lucky xD)

My question is...

there is a small chance when shoting in hard mode with handgun, that the gun shots

a magnum bullet, (kills zombies, likers with 1 shot)

i want to know the % number of that chance, if anyone knows it...?

sorry for my poor english sintax...

No. The handgun is doomed to fire crappy, low-damage rounds each and every time it shoots. No lucky headshots/criticals here.

No pal, there it is, i mean HARD mode, zombies last 20-30 shots, u die after 3 atks of a licker, some bosses kill u with 1 hit, (william in septic pool, and william in factory)

and sometimes the handgun shot magnum bullets, I can confirm this, I play almost every day.

PD, not normal, HARD mode

dual shock version have this mode, dunno if other versions too...

I thought the only way to kill a Zombie in Hard/Nightmare was to destroy their head, so that's why Capcom allowed the ability for random headshots with the Handgun. Dual Shock doesn't have Hard/Nightmare, so I personally can't say what the chances are. In RE1 the chance of headshot is around 10%, and it's the same in REmake IIRC. Maybe it's the same in RE2? I don't know for sure, sorry. :{

Hmmm... can you kill Zombies without destroying their head? Otherwise, that would mean that it would be impossible to kill them with the Bowgun? I wish I had access to Nightmare. =/

Because... because I've got spikes.
Because I go between the zones, even when I'm not supposed to.

Didnt even know the PC version had a 'hard mode'

Like the above poster said, no such thing exists on the dual shock version.

Yeah the PC version has hard mode, currently trying it for the first time and died twice quite early on. The zombies cannot die unless they jump for your legs or you get a headshot with your handgun (or use magnum / aim up with shotgun), I would guess it's 10% going by the other games.

Some of the early rooms are quite difficult if you're unlucky with the headshots, the zombies don't stumble and just keep on walking towards you, and i was shocked to die by the little licker swipes, didn't take many hits!

The jump from normal to hard is pretty amazing. Even if you are in fine condition, you can easily die in one or two hits, and dogs are perfect candidates for this... try using Sherry during Claire A, tell me if you can get those 4 grenade rounds to Claire (yea they are 4 on hard mode), without using the F. aid spray.

I can barely do it on normal sometimes.

I finished it and it does get a lot easier after the start! did have some close calls (2 hits from dogs = danger!)

The hardest part was probably the hallway outside the dark room, had to limp away from that battle with 3 zombies chasing me! did die in the room where Claire meets leon in her scenario A, tried to run through the pack of zombies and got caught in the middle and got surrounded.

After the police station the difficulty drops a lot and feels just like normal mode (lots of ammo, C. shotgun everything etc) The end boss did jump on me on caution tho and killed me!

Was a fun experience tho, used to having re2 being so easy I could finish it in my sleep, was a nice change.

On to claire B next, that should be fun, wonder if MR X little arm shove will put her straight into danger...
