Turncoat 616Posted 8/13/2007 12:48:20 PM | I remember like million years ago, when I used play this with my friend in the middle of the night and we were always trying to better each other's scores. When we wanted to take a break, we played that mode, where you have to damage your character the most. Man, that was awesome!
Anyone else have any good memories about this game? |
sirjonesalotPosted 8/20/2007 7:21:23 AM | I used to play the Shibby out of this game where's the sequel?? |
qwertyaliciousPosted 8/25/2007 7:11:20 AM | skate. is basically a sequel. It was heavily inspired by this game, and it is really awesome.

Turncoat 616 (Topic Creator) Posted 8/29/2007 2:29:53 AM | Wow. I downloaded the demo from the 360 Marketplace and I really like it. It's so different from the Tony Hawk games. Also the game actually reminds me of Thrasher. |
maddenguy7Posted 9/7/2007 12:58:36 PM | SKATE is sick --- oi |
Turncoat 616 (Topic Creator) Posted 9/7/2007 3:35:35 PM | AND a lot harder. At least the basic controls. |
mk9000Posted 9/7/2007 3:58:56 PM | Skate and Destroy is my favorite skating game ever. Way better then the Tony Hawk games on the PS. I could only play TH for a half hour before I get bored. Skate and Destroy you can play for hours. ^_^ |
Turncoat 616 (Topic Creator) Posted 9/7/2007 4:09:27 PM | One thing I also liked about Thrasher, was that you could start your score attack challenge anytime and anywhere. Of course this was later copied by the Tony Hawk series. Just like the Hawk games immediately implemented that free roaming ability into the next game, after it appeared in Aggressive Inline. You know like you could skate around and people would give you missions, if you talked to them. |
A_GopherPosted 9/17/2007 11:51:34 PM | I still do play this game. and when I say play, I mean heavily. I have my TV and PS2 on the same desk as my computer so I am switching back and forth between Thrasher and what ever is on my computer! I agree with everyone here, definitely way better then Tony Hawk games. Skate doesn't seem much of a sequel though. This game had a huge realism factor into it. Skate has a bit more realism then Tony Hawk, but doesn't come close to Thrasher. When you clear huge games in this game, or find your way around something, like the bridge gap on Brooklyn Banks, it's like WOOHOO! Though I am still yet to play Skate, shouldn't be judging it too harshly. |
Turncoat 616 (Topic Creator) Posted 9/20/2007 11:07:09 AM | I'm downloading the demo of Tony Hawk's Proving Ground at the moment. |
