Just finished an amazing back and forth match between Jeff Hardy(Me) and Edge. The momentum shifts were so intense that I couldn't believe I was playing a game that was 13 years old. I felt like I was in a real match, I will never forget this game as long as I live.
I really want to play this game again. The last time I played it was when the N64 was a relevant console. I was only ever able to rent this game. I bought No Mercy in 2001and loved the crap out of it. But I remember WM 2000 being fun as well. Maybe I can find a copy at this gaming store on my way to/from school.
A somewhat interesting note, all 7 of the arenas in this game are in WWE '13 (for the most part). This game has the 1998-1999 RAW is WAR arena as does '13. Heat's in there as well. SummerSlam 1998, Survivor Series 1998, and Royal Rumble 1999 are in both as well. King of the Ring, while using the graphics for the 1999 event, features the entrance from the 1998 event, seen in '13. WrestleMania XV/2000 is the only odd one. In this game, the entrance is based off of the XV event, also in '13, but has the number 2000 behind the WM logo. Otherwise, it's pretty much the same.
One more random note: The Survivor Series 1998 arena's skull creeped me out as a kid. I avoided playing that arena whenever I could, just cause of having to see that skull. Fast forward years later and I buy my first wrestling game in 11 years, WWE '13, and it just so happens to have the same arena, skull and all, and in higher detail! :D I've gotten over that fear but that skull is still creepy in some way, lol.
Surprised this thread is still going. Been playing WWE '13 a lot lately mainly with just the Attitude Era wrestlers, and it feels much like an updated version of Wrestlemania 2000. I guess being from the same developer it should.
