Welcome to Part 12 of the NES FAQ/Walkthrough Completion project created by Andrew Schultz in 2004. Here is the link to the project home page:

http://faqs.retronintendo.com/

I'd also like to include some great links courtesy of Devin Morgan that were included in Part 11. These are very useful if you can follow along the videos, pictures, or Japanese text.

The most valuable resource we have is all the people who participate in the project and help each other out. Just last week I was stuck deep into a game and a member took the time to check out the game and figure out how to pass my problem. (Thanks Enig)

I'd like to refresh everyone's memories by posting what games, walkthroughs, or translations you are working on or plan to be.

I plan on writing a walkthrough for Mindseeker in the near future. Anyone else?

I know this is a busy time of year with the holidays so enjoy them and hope to hear from a lot of people in the follow year.

Happy Holidays and Best Wishes

Mindseeker looks good, nobody has mentioned it although I talked to ASchultz about it briefly once (he loves these first person RPGs but the language barrier was a problem).

Where's the Super Mario no Sweater guide...I'm so lost!!

Mindseeker is pretty strange and tough, I wouldnt recommend it played without save states. The first third follows a story but the last two thirds is random yet repetitive. You have to keep visiting same places over and over and building up psychic points. The tasks you have to do are basically guessing where something will appear or pressing the button at random times. For example: A stranger stops you on the street and you bet against him what color the next car will be. Or theres 5 covered cards and you have to guess which color each one is. When I do type up a walkthrough its not going to be any award winning composition.

Anyone else working on anything these day?

Odino, I too love the first person text adventure games. I've gone through all of the ones you created. Got any more in mind? :-)

From what's left on the NES...

Kujaku Ou II has stopped at the first dungeon. The fighting parts are just not my thing. Maybe co-op with somebody.

Meiji Ishin I might go through it when I got time.

Murder Club, if there would be a video, but I think there is nothing on this game and it's complicated.

Pro Yakyuu? Satsujin Jiken!, King Mike wants to translate it, so I'd rather wait even if takes years :)

Shounen Ashibe I started this once...

SWAT (although not a real adventure game) I started translating, although might never finish that "job". Stardust might find another translator to speed this up.

I got dibs on Hercules no Eikou: Toujin Makyouden for the NES! I always wanted to contribute to the NES completion project for years now. I might as well try to get on the project. = D

Sounds like a few good ideas so far. I download a lot of Nico Nico video walkthrough and follow along with them. Sure it's not as challenging or rewarding but it gets the job done when I cant understand Japanese. I'm trying it now with Hercules but the video doesnt make sense. A real walkthrough would be great if you can do it Black Murasame.

Theres an excellent video for Shounen Ashibe at http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm444149 I just used it a few weeks ago, went very smoothly.

I tried to play along with Pro Yakyuu?? But there were like 20 videos in the walkthrough and I couldnt even follow it, I got stuck and my game didnt match the video. I'll wait for the translation as well.

I'm going to have to get off my long break and contribute something again. I'd like to keep my trend of at least one FAQ done per topic. I'll start looking early in January, I'm a little preoccupied with the whole Steam holiday sale.

Noticed the main site had the top contributors by the number of guides posted. Was wondering if the same could be done for KB contributed?

Posting for two reasons:

1. To get this new thread on my Active Messages Posted list.
2. To remind everyone that Mirai Shinwa Jarvas is still hanging around like a turd that doesn't want to go down the toilet.
