| I can handle Mahjong Academy. I played it a lot but had to stop because that game was addicting and still is. I definitely got had fun with Poker Mahjong.
To make a long story short, think of this kind of Mahjong to being similar to Gin Rummy, concept and everything.

| Mahjong Academy is using Taiwanese rules which I don't know very well. I mainly play Japanese mahjong.
Mahjong Taisen's problem isn't with the actual mahjong game, but there is a whole RPG behind it which I never got past the start. I think I talked to AdamL about this before. |

| Forgot to mention that I'm uploading preliminary versions of this guide as I go. If anyone is able to translate the Japanese screenshots (the stats tables and shop screenshot in the second walkthrough section), it'd be nice. Not particularly needed, but it'd be helpful. I'll take other critiques as well.

On a side note, I'm glad you're enjoying these games. When I was working on some of my Famicom FAQs, playing the mahjong games was actually very addicting and lots of fun. There are several such games I could've just kept playing on and on, but then the FAQ was over and I needed to move on, so...

And, yes, mahjong is definitely addicting. Kinda like a more strategic poker, I suppose - I probably have a dozen such gambling games around my house, easily. Shame that there are so few mahjong games left - guess I should've gotten on board with this sooner!
