c/d ray allen hit the biggest shot in nba finals history

C, until someone hits a buzzer beating game winner down 1 in a game 7

i can't think of a single finals shot that definitively swung the series and history like that...

I gotta say C. Not only saved the heat, but lebrons legacy. It also validated rays reasoning for leaving boston. It also probably saved a break up of the team.

Well in terms of how we feel about a player, it has to be him...if he doesn't hit that shot LeBron loses in the finals and we crucify him even though he pretty much did every thing right in that quarter and in the series (I guess) up until that point. Using this as an example, if Paxson or Kerr don't hit their shots, there's still a game 7 at the very worst for Jordan and the Bulls.

Are you talking about the Memorial Day Miracle? Because that was in the WCF, not the Finals.

The instant that shot went it, I knew that if the Heat won, that would be the greatest shot in NBA history in my book. I've watched it probably a hundred times and the sequence of events that preceded that shot, the actual shot with Ray backpaddeling and the meaning of it is still surreal to me.

Well, there's Jerry West's shot from halfcourt in the finals in '62 in game 3. And I know people love Jordan's last shot as a Bull. Those are at least famous. West's was pretty unreal, though the team would ultimately lose in game 7 in overtime.
