This is a split board - You can return to the Split List for other boards.

When you defer to the 2nd half, could you chose to kick off starting the 3rd?

If you don't eat your meat, you can't have any pudding. How can you have any pudding if you don't eat your meat?

No. One team kicks off one half, other team receives the other half. HOWEVER, you can, instead of choosing to receive or defer, choose which end of the field you want to defend, and give the other team the receive or defer option. It may seem pointless but I know the Steelers did that once in the playoffs to pin the other team in the closed, loud end of the stadium to start the game.

If you pick to receive or defer, the other team can pick what goal they want to defend as well.

I always thought that you could defer in the second half if you wanted.

False. Unlike in Madden, if you defer in the first half, you can also choose to kick in the second half if you so desire.

I'm not sure why you would want to kick off again though.
