Real Talk, will Ron Rivera get fired if the Panthers have a terrible season?

Lets say 5-11 or worse. Do you see the team getting blown up to get Cam some proper coaching and management before he opts to hit the dusty trail? Or do you think the owners simply don't care and will continue to ride the 4-12 or 5-11 train assuming they do indeed perform that poorly.

This is all hypothetical of course, the Panthers could roll off a huge string of wins and finish 13-3 or whatever, though that's unlikely.

Why do you make so many topics about the Panthers?

Regardless, I doubt they fire him unless it's a truly terrible season like 2-14 or something like that.

Carolina was in really bad shape when he took over, just coming off of a 2-14 season. That would be completely unfair if they do, which I strongly doubt they do.

Because they were the trendy pick to win big this season. Well, them and the Chefs. And I'd say I've made my fair share of Chef topics.

They were not in really bad shape at all. In 2008 they went like 13-3 or something, then in 2009 they went 8-8. They suffered plenty of injuries in 2010 that led to them being the worst team in football, but lets not act like this team was devoid of talent. This guy wasn't stepping into the 1999 Browns or anything.

Jerry Richardson basically took a **** on his own team for the 2010 season because he was one of the owners ready and willing to go into a lockout.

He's only in his second season, so probably not.

Not really a good HC though, despite Zithers claims that he'll mold the defense into a top 5 unit in like 2 years.

He isn't a great HC, but he'll prob get another year. Though a non playoff season should really see Hurney fired (2 seasons too late). 9-24 in the last 3 seasons

If Hurney is fired though, there's a high probability that Rivera is too. Coaches rarely get retained by new GM's since they want their guy, not someone elses.
