Why is everybody obssesed with delver still? Deadly Recluse Pillar of Flame Sever the Bloodline
Deadly Recluse is unplayable or mediocre against every deck that isn't Delver (play it against control and watch them laugh uproariously), Pillar of Flame is a worse version of Shock, a card which is decent against Delver but already exists and isn't played, and Sever the Bloodline is actively terrible against Delver - they're almost never going to have multiple copies of a creature out unless they're a Lingering Souls build, and even if they do, it's an invitation to be Mana Leak/Restoration Angel'd out of a turn.
I'm sorrry but... WHAT? What world do you live in that Pillar of Flame isn't a strictly better Shock? ESPECIALLY in this metagame of Snapcasters and Undying creatures? Like.... this is this most ignorant statement I've seen all week.
But carry on like Delver is somehow unstoppable. It amuses me. Delver is No Jund or Faeries. It has no where near the pressure they had, and no where near the recovery possibilities each had. Delver is a good deck. A very good deck. But it does not match past "Standard Boogiemen" in the least bit.
