What do you think the BotG gods will be like?

There's pretty good evidence to suggest it will be Iroas (R/W), Kruphix (G/U), Xenagos (R/G), Phenax (B/U) and Athreos (W/B).

I'd guess the mana cost of each would be 2XY where XY is their two colours. Indestructible seems like a given but I'm not sure how they'd work the devotion.
Just thought some discussion on this might be cool.

I'm expecting Hybrid mana costs.

Also I'm wondering if we'll see Phyrexian mana return, there's been a mention or two of "Devotion to Phyrexia" on Matt Tabak's Tumblr.
Granted, he was probably kidding, but it works rules-wise and would fit very nicely into the Phyrexian theme.

I'm curious how they will work with their non-god counterparts

Surely they will legend rule each other but that just seems so weird when thinking about Xenagos planeswalker being bumped out by a creature/enchantment

Why would they bump each other? Planeswalkers check types, Legends check names. You have Xenagos the Reveler, Planeswalker: Xenagos, with Xenagos, God of the Gruul, Legendary Creature - Satyr.

They can be mutually exclusive.

They can coexist. Karn Liberated isn't booted out when Karn, Silver Golem enters the battlefield after all.

Edit: Nath'd.

That makes sense from a rules standpoint but it seems weird from an in-game point of view

Imagine being Xenagos the Reveler and seeing your god self standing next to you

I believe I read somewhere that Theros wasn't going to have hybrid mana costs, I could be mistaken though. Don't have a link either, unfortunately.

Definitely won't be hybrid

Could see:

creature if 5 devotion total to both colors, mixed
creature if 3 devotion to each color
x ability if devoted to color A, y ability if color B

I'm expecting Devotion to Multicolor in Born, with Devotion to All in Journey. Perhaps a card that says you win if you have Devotion to All.

That first one should probably be 6 or 7, because it's much easier to get devotion for two colours than it is for one.

Unless the multicoloured gods are worse than the monocoloured ones, but that would be lame.
