AMD budget gamer build, any advice?

#1teh1337gosuPosted 12/7/2013 6:04:26 PM
AMD FX 6300 Six 3.50GHz 14.0MB AM3+ $ 134
Kingston 8.0 GB DDR3-1333 CL9 $ 88
Antec Sonata III 500 Mid Tower 500W Black Ultra Quiet $ 150
Barracuda 1.0TB 7200RPM SATA600 64MB NC $ 72
ASUS M5A97 AM3+ DD3 A+SR+GBL $ 106
ASUS - ATI/AMD Radeon HD7850-DC2 2.0GB 2xDVI DP HDMI $ $ 189

Has anyone made a similar build? This computer appears to be on par or slightly better than a ps4.

get a cheaper case without a power supply and the suggested corsair cx500 separate and save some money to put towards a better gpu like the suggested AMD HD7870/R9 270 or a Nvidia GTX760.

How is that motherboard? I live in Canada hence the more expensive parts.

I get wary of cheap mobos, burnt in the past.

I have an FX 6300 and a GTX 660 for a year now and I love it.

FX 6300 is definitely the best choice for a budget build.
