*^*"The Shinies" Two Thousand and Thirteen edition! V.156*^*

I'm not sure if I'd say all those books were enjoyable to me, I just felt like they were in a similar vein. I think I read most of them during the same time period. SH 5 really stood out to me. It's kind of psychedelic to me. But still captures the horror of war. C 22 helps you understand the futility of war, it's insanity, and the dangers of poor leadership. 1984 gets more prophetic every passing year.

I've never read Cat's Cradle. I'll have to look into it.

Blagged my way through a book review of 1984 back in school. Read the first few pages, then basically talked about the blurb.

Days before the interwebs.

I did much the same with The time machine. So much better than reading that stuff at school.

But the time machine was good

And also really short.

Oh fun fact Cat's Cradle is actually on this year's reading list. How convenient. I think it's right before the IB test though so it may not be the perfect reading conditions

It was short, but boring as a teen so I stopped and made it up.

Good to see the topic got some life breathed back into it. And we finished before 2013 is up! Two Thousand and Thirteen edition indeed. I'll let somebody else take post 500 ;)
