She's going to bring a lawyer into the situation. They didn't take the necessary precautions to keep their students and staff safe and people go in wrecks and got hurt because of it. TBH they need to issue a school wide apology in my opinion.

But she is okay, she's really annoyed at the whole thing.

And aw man, Miles, stay warm and dry and safe! That's crazy that y'all have a foot of snow!

I don't blame her at all. I'd do the same thing if I were her. Even if this isn't a common situation for your school, this just sounds like they completely dropped the ball. I dunno why they didn't have this all planned out. They definitely need to apologize, even if to keep angry people + the media (who I'm sure are about to tear into them) off of them.

I finally left and went home at 10. I wasn't even that tired, but my phone was near dead and the idea of walking home alone in a unfamiliar neighborhood didn't appeal to me. The walk home was probably some of the more annoying and tiring parts of the day. Other than the sidewalks that we did, there were none. Had to talk in the roads which were icy, slushy and/or water filled. Wasn't too bad though, only a mile or so (I'm horrible at estimating distance), but it took over half an hour to get home. I took a shower and chilled until 12, where I slept for 10 1/2 hours. I'll probably work again soon since it's apparently supposed to snow again.

Yeah, a lot of people believe the school was in denial about the whole thing. I know a few more people who got stranded too. It was a disaster the way my university handled it. I know a lot of people who just stayed home because they commute. It wasn't worth getting stuck/in an accident.

Thankfully everything is good today. I went to the store and I'm going to campus soon to have much needed social interaction. XD

But dang you must be beat, Miles. It sounds like you're really helping out your area though. I hope you are keeping warm and dry and safe!

She's angry enough to get a lawyer on this and probably try suing the emergency response team who did a terrible job with this. It just irritates me because they literally wait until the last minute to cancel classes. At our neighboring universities, they told everyone the night before when class would stop, whereas at my school they waited until 11:51 am to tell everyone class is canceled at 1 pm. The people in charge were absolute idiots 'cause at 1 pm it was already too late to go anywhere. I was sooo lucky I got home. @_@ They are going to be hearing from the student body I'm sure.
