The OnDemand here is so far beyond terrible, there isn't any way to describe it properly. Doesn't even have all the "Big Four," it's always at least two weeks behind, the HD lineup is insanely small (one menu, whereas most would at least have, say, A-F and G-M and so on...), and sometimes, they leave episodes out (thanks for not putting Episode 4 of True Detective up, HBO...among other offenders).

Which provider do you have? I have Optimum, and they're usually quick to update their On Demand content.

I thought HD would get priority. <_< Non-HD is old ****, it'll get phased out soon enough.

and service providers will still demand premiums for HD content

I pay ten quid a month for Sky+. Let's be honest, it's just worth it to not have to bother f***ing about finding shows illegally.

This guy. I've gotta get internet somehow, and cable's the best option around here. Plus, it's nice to still have cable for sporting events and the like.

Suddenlink. Thumbs...in the middle. Cable isn't the greatest, but the internet is fairly decent (1080p rips DLed in under an hour works for me...this old man can still remember the days of 14.4 dial-up).

And of course they'll want premiums on HD. We're dumb enough to pay it now, so why would they stop making us pay it?

I just want to be able to pick the individual channels I get. I hate getting these "packages" and "tiers" that have one or two channels I want to watch mixed in with a bunch of garbage.
