My predictions for The Winds of Winter *SPOILERS*

#1mr_bobjimbobjimPosted 7/31/2011 7:04:15 PM
Here's what I want to happen:

North: Ramsay kills Stannis' host but Stannis and several others including Asha, Theon, and Jeyne make it out alive. Davos shows up with Rickon and the Northmen rebel and kill Roose and Ramsay. At the same time, Sansa shows up married to Harry the Heir at the head of an army consisting of the entire Vale, which defeats the Northmen and makes Sansa the Lady of Winterfell

The Wall: Jon Snow stays dead. His public assassination sets the Night's Watch and the wildlings against each other, and Melisandre and her group of Queen's men are forced to flee beyond the Wall and they engage in guerilla warfare against the Others and their massive army of wights from Hardhome Point, and her group gets assistance from Bran.

The East: Victarion inadvertently frees the blockade of Meereen when he shows up with his longships. His horn bounds Viserion to his will, as well. He and Barristan form an alliance to keep Meereen under control until Dany returns. Dany returns with a massive khalasar and destroys the Yunkai forces, with the help of Tyrion, who became the new leader of the Second Sons. Victarion destroys the Volantene fleet with the help of Viserion. They leave for Westeros. The three dragon riders are Dany on Drogon, Victarion on Viserion, and Barristan on Rhaegal.

The South: Jon Connington takes Storm's End and Dorne declares for Aegon. Aegon and Arianne Martell are married, and their forces march north. They have taken over the Stormlands and they conquer King's Landing.

Oldtown: Sam is learning to become a Maester when Oldtown is sacked by the ironmen. They take Sam as a hostage and sail up the Mander, taklng advantage of the chaos in the Stormlands and sack High Garden. By the end of the book, the entire Reach has been taken over by the ironmen, and they converge on King's Landing.

The Riverlands:
Jaime and Brienne kill zombie Catelyn. After hearing about Aegon's forces near King's Landing, they flee to the Reach and are captured by the ironmen.

Braavos: Arya is sent to kill Harys Swift when he is sent to treat with the Iron Bank. She assumes his identity and is sent to King's Landing to assassinate Tommen, but her ship is taken by Aegon's forces.

Epilogue is Dolorous Edd. He and some other former Night's Watch men have been hiding in the Gift after the wildlings turned on them. He hears a horn blast and sees the Wall collapse on the horizon. He sends a rider out to warn the rest of the north, and is killed by the Others that night.

Those are some awfully specific predictions. I find some of them rather unlikely.

There's no chance Jon Snow stays dead.

Arya knows Tommen. She cant kill people she knows.

I want Sam to have a confrontation with his father. His father has been gaining a lot of power. He would probably go crazy if Sam shows up wearing a Maesters chain asking for help for the Wall.

Agreed. There's a precisely 0% chance that Jon is permanently dead.

I want him to be dead. As much as I like Jon, I'm sick of the resurrections.
