Why didn't you just yell look out?" [Duke] "Didn't you read my green sheet? Man of action."
I absolutely agree. Rozum's a great writer and I thought Static Shock would be a fantastic book. It broke my heart to hear differently. --- Nate. I guess the moral of the story is... ladies, don't marry a superhero.
I went in expecting a lot of crazy, baseless bitterness, but I was surprised to see that he's angry out of love for the character more than anything else. It's at least better than blaming the writer who showed up after he left. --- Official Doctor Strange of the C&GN Board ''Phil's got a point, guys.'' - Damien 5000
this sucks to hear who's the editor of the young justice titles? --- Grandparents dead - please no jokes Make mine DC, if you please.
Uh, the first two issues were incredibly dull, slow, and confused. I stopped after that. I couldn't get past those lame villains, art, and boring dialogue/action. But what is that picture in the link from? I like that art? Is it from an issue after #2 or something? Cause I swear the art sucked in those first 2. edit: I read the article. So a comic book writer doesn't write the plot? Just the dialogue? Is it the same with movies? --- Jackie Chan is the nicest guy but everyone wants to mess with him - Pablo Francisco
From: alfred_ashford Yes. And for TV.
alfred_ashford posted... edit: I read the article. So a comic book writer doesn't write the plot? Just the dialogue? Is it the same with movies? With comics it depends. Sometimes plots are joint writer/artist, but most writers do describe what's going on from panel to panel in addition to dialogue. And sometimes plots have sticky editor handprints all over them. This guy had a rough experience, it seems. --- Official Doctor Strange of the C&GN Board ''Phil's got a point, guys.'' - Damien 5000
Anyone else expecting to eventually see a bunch of the other departed DCnU talent voicing similar concerns? All the talent that was either shuffled or let go gave the same farewell so it always sounded like it was a scripted exit comment. I too like the art in that link. What happened with Static's arm in the story? --- https://www.heroup.com/ Now playing as Mr. Fantastic
His arm was sliced off at the end of issue #1, only to mysteriously re-attach itself in #2. --- "Let me save us all some time: You won't agree and this thread will continue."-TheVerbos
Was that an art error or was it literally never explained even though it happened? I never read the book, but hearing all this sounds like some serious neglect. This character is starting to have a history of being poorly used despite his popularity. --- https://www.heroup.com/ Now playing as Mr. Fantastic |
