The first few pages are not the first issue. Red hood is sinking in some kind of ship fighting a man with an iron jaw.

But the first issue he was saving Roy Harper from being executed. Whats with the iron jaw guy?

A later issue (6, I think) takes place before issue 1, so they put it in the trade first. It actually makes it flow a lot better and makes the trade as a whole that much better.

Yeah, Issue #6 takes place a month before Issue #1 so they reordered them in the trade chronigically

Why does issue 6 exist? It seems like it was created soley for the purpose of making Starfire seem less like an idiot.

Like originally it didn't exist but then they made that an renumbered everything. Usually something like this would be framed as a flashback but the issue gives no context as to why it's talking about the past.
