Do you play any "social" RPGs? What's your opinion of them?

Back in the past when I thought I liked RPGs for the combat ...

I lulled. I feel like everyone who says this is going to grow up one day and realize that they've been living a delusion their entire lives of gaming.

I don't hate the idea but I wouldn't play one. If you enjoy that sort of thing then more power to you, but it is not what I am looking for in a game.

Well Said.

Yeah, this is...well, sorta my attitude on every type of game whatsoever, be it Call of Duty, or Planescape Torment. I mean, I freakin despise Call of Duty, and its clones, but my issues are with the games, not the gamers themselves.

However, I do take issue with the fact that so many rpg fans both on this board, and via an im that I have automatically assumed that since I love games like Doom, Half-Life 2, and Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl that I'm what they consider to be the equivalent of someone who plays Call of Duty and its clones online all day, and are unwilling to listen to me when I tell them that I don't really care for pvp in any FPS besides Team Fortress 2.

It's honestly more of a pain than the people that I used to come across that would say that i'm not a real fan of rpgs just because I like some of the games in the Final Fantasy series, and I "have the nerve" to include Final Fantasy VII, alongside IV, V, VI, XII, and worst of all, XIII in an ironic way.

Tried Fantastica. The cards were beautiful, but it didn't hold me.

Started Blood Brothers. I pike the little figures.

nice! i'm a pretty big fan of that game. if you want i can set you up with a couple pretty decent units that should let you easily breeze through the first couple weeks or so of the game.

i'd stay away from takin too much advice from the gamefaqs BB board; they tend to gear their advice more towards hardcore players

also this is probably obvious but never spend money on the game. it's quite generous toward free players. the prices are like, ludicrously expensive. 3 bucks to get a random card.

Legacy of a Thousand Suns, Galaxy Legion, Dark Galaxy, Light of Nova, Seige on stars, Also Galaxy Online an Imperium Galactic war though those are more strategy and SRPG then RPG. And I'm sure there are ones I used to play and forgot
