Why aren't more TV shows on Blu Ray? Considering many of them are shot in HD?

I realize costs - but then they could manufacture them based off of demand. I'm in shock as to how many popular shows don't come out on Blu Ray. (And how many shows have that weird 4th/5th season on Blu Ray but no others - *Looks at How I Met Your Mother and Grey's Anatomy...*)

Yeah, this disappoints me.

I wanted to get the first 6 seasons of Sunny In Philly, but they only have the 6th in Blu-Ray, while the others are all DVD.

Apparently it doesn't really matter for Sunny since they don't shoot in HD to begin with. It doesn't make much of a difference.

I guess it depends on the demand for the show and when it was released on DVD. It's probably not worth it to re-release older seasons in hi-def, especially for sitcoms or animated shows. I do wish they'd release The Sopranos in HD.
