It looks fine. In fact it's about as good as we could expect. It's a full body superhero costume, it's a miracle it doesn't look any more campy.

Plus, these are set photos. It'll look better in the show with all the editing post-filming and with the proper lighting set up etcetera.

This.

Arrow has changed part of his costume though. He used to use to paint the area around his eyes green until Barry figured a better way to cover his eyes and made the mask. So it's not like Barry isn't thinking about improving costumes. Maybe this was the best he could put together upon first waking up out of a coma.

Lol, that's really what you consider a costume change?

Nopes, it looks terrible. If you really think that that's the best that can be done, google some concept art of Flash costumes.

The show is still in production TC, they still have time to improve it. That or the design changes and improves throughout the show.

I dont think it looks bad at all. Not amazing, but it'll probably look fine in post production and/or when the show goes past pilot.

Arrow is still in their second season. If the show continues the planned "5 year story" and beyond, there's plenty of time for a costume change/upgrade.

The red just needs to be brighter and the lightning bolt symbol just needs to be over a white background.

Quick Question: I see that John Wesley Shipp is being credited for the 1st episode, but it doesn't say who he's playing. Is it possible he could be Wally West just as a nod to his previous portrayal of Barry Allen?

Concept art is all well and good though, but that doesn't mean it translates well to real life. Stop being so bloody negative. Does it resemble the costume from the comics? Yes. Does it fit with the tone of the pre-established Arrow-verse? Yes. Is it the right combination of camp and serious? There abouts.

It's fine. It's not perfect, but it's far from horrible.

Absolutely not. Wally West is Barry's successor, and Iris West (Wally's Aunt) has been cast and is in her twenties.
