Two new additions are both Jia Zhang-ke films. One, The World, which I saw a little before posting the list but just didn't feel like adjusting it at the time, the other is Still Life which I just saw this past week. Though I do find that it takes some things time to settle when listing things like this, but then again they can change over time and after repeated viewings anyway.

So sorry Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans and Oldboy. They'll join my runners up from that topic. Also I wanted to try and get around to a lot of things I have missed so I'll be trying to see a few things from the last 12 years that may have escaped me, which also means feel free for suggestions and so forth.

Also, I have yet to see Another Year but given how I enjoyed Happy-Go-Lucky more than most I've been looking forward to that for a while

And yeah, I was hoping to keep it updated with things I would see. And others could join in as well I suppose. It's to motivate me because after the Oscar season I always start to care a little less about recent movies I didn't see which is probably why I didn't get around to Another Year and so forth. That and I've been planning to buy it on Bluray at a place nearby... maybe I'll do that this week.

I think its interesting that you and BLH might be the first two posters I've seen that like You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger. I didn't dislike it, but I didn't feel very strongly for it as I do with many other Allen films. I actually prefer '09's Whatever Works to it, which was also mostly disliked.

I really don't understand why people dislike You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger, I think it's easily among his best of the last 12 years including Midnight in Paris (my favorite of his recent movies), Vicky Cristina Barcelona, Sweet and Lowdown, and Match Point.

I would be among the group that does not think Whatever Works is one of his best, in fact I think it's his worst.
