TNA News/Notes: LockDown Main Event, The Wolves, Jarrett, more

#1JoCrazyPosted 1/17/2014 11:17:40 AM
- Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards made their debuts on Impact last night. Dave Lagana pushed for them to be hired, and moving forward, as a team they will be called "The Wolves," and will keep the names Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards.

- The feeling is that the TNA Lockdown main event will be Magnus vs. Samoa Joe.

- There are some backstage wondering if the Investor storyline was written as a way to mock Jeff Jarrett for exiting the company.

- At this time, Jeff Jarrett is still a minority owner in the company.

- Yesterday's talent meeting involved SpikeTV's Twitter team working with the talents on ways to better use social media going forward.

Might as well throw this in here

Last night's Genesis themed episode of TNA Impact Wrestling, which was billed as a new beginning for the company, drew a 1.08 cable rating, down from the 1.18 rating from last week.

Last night's show averaged 1.316 million viewers, down 6% from last week.

Impact was #42 in overall viewers on cable TV for Thursday night.

I hope they bring up the Joe/Magnus tag team into their feud. Teaming with Joe is what elevated Magnus, it saved his career after being off of TV for a long time, and I think it would be a good element to add to the match.

As for The Wolves, it may just be because I am so used to calling them the American Wolves, but it just doesn't sound that good to me. I'll probably get used to it though.

I'm so glad they get to keep their names those NXT names were horrible. To this day the names Daniel Bryan, Evan Bourne, Kassius Ohno & Scotty Goldman haunt me due to how crappy they sound compared to the original ring names. Can a wrestler & company not come to a 50/50 agreement over a freaking name? Back on topic I will def be watching TNA to see Davey Richards.

I believe Colt said WWE picked Goldman, but I am pretty sure the others were made up by the wrestlers. Still, WWE could always smack them and tell them to be more creative.

How is Evan Bourne any better or worse than Matt Sydal?

Support local music.
But not if it sucks.

Honestly, of the ones he listed, I only don't like Scotty Goldman, I got used to the rest.
