The same day Perry announces his candidacy is the same day it rained in Texas.

How is giving much needed rain to millions of people an act of depression? I think he is just shedding tears of joy.

Does the fact that the most God-fearing large state in the country is undergoing its worst drought in a century mean that God had been punishing it for something? Is God not on Texas' side?

Also, Rick Perry originally told Texans to start praying for rain back in April. Was God ignoring everyone's prayers?

There just wasn't enough people doing praying, hence why he had that Prayer Day event, and what do you know? A few days later, the DFW 100+ heat record snaps due to unexpected cloud cover (the meteorologists all said that it was basically 100% thing that DFW was going to at least tie the record.) A few days after that, it started to rain.

No I think it raining on the day you announce something "worthwhile" is not a good sign...no matter how badly your place needed the rain.
