Compare those regulations to the regulations placed on those attempting to use firearms on private property.
A lot easier to enforce car driving in public than firearm usage in public. When someone drives on the open road, the cops have a variety of methods to regulate traffic.

When someone carries a firearm in public, the cops have no way to know it, and thus regulate its usage in public. That is why the ownership regulations are so important.
.

Again, no one stops me from buying a car without a driver's license..

I can drunk drive, without a seatbelt , off road, at 120+ MPH.. As long as I'm on private property with nothing more than the cash to purchase the car.

I can't own a belt-fed LMG made past 1986 privately, even if I intend to put it above my mantle and never fire it at all.

In public, they require testing to drive a vehicle... And oddly enough..

Most states require concealed carry permits to carry a weapon in public, a good portion of those states require testing/training prior to issuing the license.

It took this long to figure out where this dude got the guns?

Can't same I'm surprised: Some 80,000 people every year get caught lying when trying to purchase a gun, saying they are eligible when they really aren't. It's disturbing just how many people try to game the system. The kicker is, almost no one is ever arrested for lying.

It's clear background checks and punishments for lying about buying a gun need to be much more severe.

Guess what? This is how so many criminals get their guns. They get it from idiot gun owners who never should've been given the right to own guns in the first place.

Yeah, and now she's facing criminal charges for doing this illegal thing. The system works.

After reading about this guy's history, and the fact that he was already a convicted killer, I think the real story here isn't "ex-con uses fraud to get guns", but rather "convicted killer released from prison, goes on rampage".

This all could've been prevented if he were hanged 30 years ago.

Guns don't kill people, liberal sentencing kills people.

um...

people killed by guns?
