Does this mean they can actually fly?

It's the F-35 that doesn't actually work despite hundreds of billions of dollars already having been wasted on them.

I think the f-35 recently got deployed to its first squadron.

F-22 is a big cash dump too, apparently its quite maintenance unfriendly so it requires highly specialized care not available in bases around the world.

Oh, the F-22 can fly very well. It occasionally tries to murder its pilot though, so you know, downsides and all that...

The F-22 can literally fly all over North Korea without ever being detected though

F-35... eh they'd detect it as a hawk in the sky
Even Madden gets it

Even if it came to war would we even use them?

They'd probably be the first ones in to gain air superiority.

Not sure if they can shoot down missiles, but they'll kill the hell out of anything else in the air.

A full-scale war with North Korea is pretty much the ONLY chance we have at using our F-22s as intended.

Or if a PMC joins forces with a Brazilian revolutionary group that apparently pays better than the US, and turns around and declares war on the US (even though the headquarters is in the US and the ceo lives there too). They attack DC and nearly kill the president and almost overrun Tokyo and the Continental US before being stopped by essentially one pilot before attempting to plant a nuke in LA (because that will totally force the US to surrender). Then the pilot has to fly through the grand canyon to blow up the guys house because a predator drone apparently doesn't exist in the near future.
